Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Pukekohe, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF PUKEKOHE.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the special drainage area of the Borough of Pukekohe, taken on the 23rd day of March, 1927, on the proposal of the Pukekohe Borough Council to borrow the sum of twenty-six thousand pounds for the purpose of installing sanitary drainage, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 105; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 106.
I therefore declare the proposal was rejected.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Kaituna River Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

KAITUNA RIVER DISTRICT.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers, whose names appear on a special roll prepared under the provisions of section 3 of the said Act and of section 30 of the Kaituna River District Act, 1926, in respect of a defined part of the Kaituna River District, which said poll was taken on the 21st day of April, 1927, on the proposal of the Kaituna River Board to borrow a sum of four thousand pounds for the purpose of—
(a) Re-establishing and safeguarding the old natural outlet of the Kaituna River under the protection of the Maketu Bluff and securing the outfall channel in its reopened course; and
(b) Lowering the level of the Kaituna River;
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 78; and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 4.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Waitomo County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Te Kumi No. 2 Special-rating Area in the Waitomo County, taken on the 13th day of April, 1927, on the proposal of the Waitomo County Council to borrow the sum of £800, for the purpose of forming and culverting about one mile of road through Section 10 and Te Kumi 4 and 6, Block XV, Orahiri Survey District, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 3; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 0.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Transfer of the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association Fund (Incorporated) to the National War Funds Council under the War Funds Act, 1915.

I HEREBY notify for public information that the balance of the funds of the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association (Incorporated) were transferred to the National War Funds Council, and were accepted by the said Council on the 4th of October, 1926, in pursuance of the powers conferred by section 4 of the War Funds Act, 1915.

Notice respecting proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Borough of Featherston.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Featherston and included in the County of Featherston. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alterations of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
