ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 87, Township of Featherston; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that section to its easternmost corner; thence south-westerly along its south-eastern boundary for a distance of 400 links; thence north-westerly along a line parallel to and distant 400 links from its north-eastern boundary to its intersection with the north-western boundary of the said Section 87; thence north-easterly along that north-western boundary to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 93, Township of Featherston; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of said Section 93 to its easternmost corner; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 93, 100, 106, and 113, Township of Featherston, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Section 113 aforesaid to its westernmost corner; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 113, 106, 100, and 93 aforesaid to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section, the point of commencement.

Notice respecting Proposed Alterations of Boundaries, Kuku Drainage District, County of Horowhenua.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913, praying that the areas described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Kuku Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alterations of boundaries which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.
AREAS PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE KUKU DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Ohau River in line with the eastern boundary of Subdivision 8 of Ohau No. 3, Section 26 Block, as shown on plan W.D. 1209, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington; thence to and along that boundary to the boundary of the Kuku Drainage District; thence southerly and westerly generally along the boundaries of the said district to a point distant 2500 links from the eastern boundary of Ohau 3A No. 1A 1 Block; thence along a line parallel to that eastern boundary, for a distance of 1440 links, to the southern boundary of Subdivision 15 of Ohau No. 3, Section 26 aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the southern boundary of that subdivision to its westernmost corner; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that subdivision and of Subdivision 23 to the left bank of the Ohau River; thence generally north-easterly along that left bank to the northern boundary of Subdivision 8 aforesaid; thence along that boundary to the Ohau River, and again along that river to the point of commencement: excepting a strip of land 1 chain wide on each side of the Kuku Stream and already within the said Kuku Drainage District.

Also all that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Subdivision 18B 2 of Ohau No. 3, Section 26 Block, distant 500 links from its north-eastern corner; thence along the south-eastern boundary of that subdivision to its south-eastern corner; thence north-westerly along its south-western boundary to a point distant 500 links from the western boundary of Subdivision 22A of the said Ohau No. 3, Section 26 Block; thence along a line parallel to and distant 500 links from the western boundary of the said Subdivision 22A to its south-western boundary; thence north-westerly along its south-western boundary to the boundary of the Kuku Drainage District; thence northerly, westerly, and easterly along the boundaries of the said district to the eastern boundary of Subdivision 18B 2 aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Also all that area bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of the Kuku Drainage District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 4E 2A No. 1 Block to its north-eastern corner; thence along its south-eastern boundary to its south-eastern corner; thence westerly generally along the road forming the south-western boundary of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 4E 2A No. 1 to the south-western corner of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 4E 2B No. 3 Block; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned block to the boundary of the Kuku Drainage District, and along that boundary to the point of commencement.
