PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
Loan of £2,300.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,300, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the road from Soldiers Hall to the Morrinsville-Kereone Road, and from the Morrinsville-Kereone Road corner to the boundary of the Soldiers Settlement on the Kereone-Walton Road, and the Soldiers Settlement central road, from Hutchinson’s Road to the Kereone-Pakarau Road, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny farthing in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Kereone Soldiers Settlement Roads Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in Blocks VIII, XI, and XII, Maungakawa Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, bounded commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 1, Pakarau Settlement, towards the north by the northern boundary of said Lot 1, then across the Kereone-Pakarau Road and in a direct line at right angles to the road in the Kereone Block for a distance of 40 chains; thence by a direct line to the eastern boundary of the Kereone Block at a point 30 chains distant from its south-east corner; towards the east and south-east by the eastern boundaries of the Kereone Block and Lots 5, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, and 18, Pakarau Settlement, and south-west boundary of Lot 18, and the road and eastern boundary of Lot 16 to its most southerly point; towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of Lots 16, 15, 14, and 13, Pakarau Settlement, to the south-western corner of Lot 13; thence by the boundary of Te Au-o-Waikato Maungatapu No. 9b No. 2, Section 2, to the railway, and by the railway to the Kiwitahi Railway-station, and by the station reserve to its north-eastern corner; whence by a line to the Piako River drawn parallel to, distant 1142·6 links from, the boundary between the last-mentioned Section 2 and Section 1 of the me block; and towards the north-west by the Piako River to the western boundary of Maungatapu A No. 1 and part 3 (acres 117-2-14), and by the western, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of this block until the north-eastern boundary reaches the north-western boundary of Maungatapu B No. 1A, and by this north-western boundary and the north-western boundary of Maungatapu B No. 1B to the northernmost corner thereof, and by a direct line therefrom to the point of commencement; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Loan of £800.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling Waghorn’s Road from McLaren’s Road to Baker’s Road, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Waghorn’s Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in Blocks VI and IX, Wairere Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, bounded commencing at a point on the northern boundary of Lot 2, plan 3946A, Hungahunga No. 1, distant 25 chains to the west of Waghorn’s Road; towards the north by such northern boundary and by the northern boundary of Lot 1, plan 3945A; towards the east by the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 4, northern and eastern boundaries of Lot 5, and eastern boundaries of Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 11A, all on plan 3945A; towards the south by the southern boundary of 11A aforesaid to Lot 10 on plan 3944A, and across same to a point on Waghorn’s Road 35 chains from the Wardville Road; thence north-west along Waghorn’s Road to the Aratiatia boundary; thence by the southerly boundaries of Lot 10 aforesaid to its western corner, thence by direct line through Lot 10 on plan 3946A to a point on the southern boundary of Lot 9, plan 3946A, 60 chains from Waghorn’s Road, and towards the west by direct line to the south-west corner of Lot 5, plan 3946A, and by the western boundaries of this Lot 5 and of Lot 4, plan 3946A, to the southern boundary of Lot 2, same plan, which along in a westerly direction to a point 17½ chains from Lot 4 aforesaid and directly north to the point of commencement; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Loan of £2,000.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling Baker’s Road from Osborne’s corner to Neave’s corner, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Baker’s Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in Blocks II and VI, Wairere Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, bounded commencing at the north-west corner of Section South-east, part 2, Block VI, Wairere; towards the north-west by the surveyed roal-line to a point 10 chains from the Stanley Road, towards the east generally by a line direct south to Baker’s Road, and along same to a point 10 chains from the Stanley Road, then by a line direct south to the northern boundary of Section 5 and along same eastward to the north-eastern corner of Section 5; then directly south for 17 chains and at right angles across the property of Handley; then directly north to a point on the boundary of this property 22½ chains from Baker’s Road, and at right angles therefrom to the property of O’Sullivan; then directly south along the eastern boundary of this property to a point 52 chains from Baker’s Road, and at right angles therefrom to the property of 150 acres, parts 8 of 11 and 4 of VI, Wairere, and direct south to the boundary of this property; towards the south along such boundary and the southern boundaries of Sections 3 and 2, Block VI, Wairere, to the western boundary of Section 2, and towards the west by such western boundary to the point of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Loan of £400.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling the Farmers Road, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Farmers Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in Block IV, Maungakawa Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, bounded commencing at the south-west corner of Lot 1, Te Kahia; towards the west by the western boundaries of Lot 1, Te Kahia, and of the portions of Waokauri No. 1, shown upon plans 13135, 17090, and 6665, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lots 2, 3, and 4 on the said last-mentioned plan; towards the north by direct line to such south-eastern boundary, and by the south-eastern boundary of Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5 to the Farmers Road, and across same, and by the northern boundary of the 12 acre lot, part of Sections 6 and 7 on plan 1789, and northern boundary of Section 5, same plan, to the Waitoa River, and towards the east by the said river, and south by the southern boundary of Lot 1, Te Kahia, to the point of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Waipukurau Borough Municipal Theatre Loan of £1,650, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Waipukurau Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purchase and erection and equipping of Municipal Theatre and shops, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-fiftieths (11/50ths.) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Waipukurau, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
