FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works—namely, the construction of a road in Koheroa 39D No. 2 and Koheroa 39D No. 1, in the Parish of Koheroa, and the establishment of a gravel reserve in Koheroa 39D No. 2, Koheroa 39J, and Koheroa 39G, in the said parish, and for the purpose of such public work firstly above mentioned the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and for the purpose of such public work secondly above mentioned the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby given that the plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at Hall Street, Pukekohe, and are open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works, or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the 8th day of April, 1927, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Office, Hall Street, Pukekohe.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Approximate areas of pieces of land required to be taken for road purposes:—
From the block of land known as Koheroa, Lot 39D No. 2, in the Parish of Koheroa: 1 rood 26 perches.
From the block of land known as Koheroa, Lot 39D No. 1, in the Parish of Koheroa: 6 acres 3 roods.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Approximate areas of pieces of land required to be taken for gravel reserve purposes:—
From the block of land known as Koheroa, Lot 39D No. 2, in the Parish of Koheroa: 5 acres 1 rood 12 perches.
From the block of land known as Koheroa, Lot 39J, in the Parish of Koheroa: 3 acres 2 roods 35 perches.
From the block of land known as Koheroa, Lot 39G, in the Parish of Koheroa: 29 acres.

All the foregoing land being situated in the Opahake Survey District.

A T a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company, properly convened, held at the office of Messrs. Bamfield and McIvor on the 19th day of March, 1927, the following resolutions were passed as special resolutions:—

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of BUILDERS’ COMPOSITE MATERIALS, LTD.

N OTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the above-named company, held on Wednesday, 13th April, 1927, the following resolution was passed:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same accordingly, and that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that JOHN MACFARLANE ELLIFFE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for that purpose.
Creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 14th day of May, 1927, to send their names, addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims to the Liquidator, and if so required by notice in writing, are to come in and prove their debts or claims, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

Bamfield and McIvor, Public Accountants, No. 1 Dowling Street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 16th day of May, 1927, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of, and also to review the question of Liquidator’s remuneration.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned as Joinery Manufacturers at No. 351 Cashel Street, Christchurch, under the style of “A. W. Sparrow and Co.,” is hereby dissolved as from the 26th day of April, 1927. All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid respectively by THOMAS OLIVER BIGWOOD, who will continue to carry on the said business at the above address under the style of “A. W. Sparrow and Co.”
