In the matter of a Bill intituled “An Act to amend the Church Property Trust (Canterbury) Act, 1879, and to extend the powers of the Church Property Trustees and the trusts and purposes upon which certain properties are held by the Church Property Trustees.”

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of New Zealand, relating to Private Bills, that application will be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled at its next session, on behalf of the Church Property Trustees of Canterbury for leave to introduce a Bill to be intituled “An Act to amend the Church Property Trust (Canterbury) Act, 1879, and to extend the powers of the Church Property Trustees, and the trusts and purposes upon which certain properties are held by the Church Property Trustees.”

By the said Bill it is intended, out of the income of the Bishopric Estate, to empower the provision and payment of moneys for all or any one or more of the following objects, that is to say,—

Payment of a pension or allowance to the widow or orphan children of the Bishop of Christchurch or other Bishop mentioned in section 10 of the said Act ;

Provision of special training of candidates for Holy Orders ;

Payment of travelling-allowance to the Bishop of Christchurch or other Bishop as aforesaid ;

Payments of travelling or removal expenses of nominated person who has accepted nomination as Bishop of Christchurch or other Bishop as aforesaid ;

Upkeep and maintenance of garden grounds at residence of Bishop of Christchurch or other Bishop as aforesaid ;

leaving it in all cases to the Synod of the Diocese to decide and direct what moneys (if any) shall be provided or paid for all or any of such objects.

By the said Bill it is also intended, out of the income of the Dean and Chapter Estate, to empower the provision and payment of moneys for all or any one or more of the following objects, that is to say :—

Maintenance of persons in Holy Orders, other than the Dean Canons or minor Canons, who may be appointed on the Cathedral staff ;

Provision, maintenance, repair, renewal, or replacement of fittings, furniture, and furnishings in the Cathedral ;

Payment of a pension or other allowance to the widow or orphan children of any Dean of former Dean of Christchurch ;

leaving it in all cases to the Synod of the Diocese to decide and direct what moneys (if any) shall be provided or paid for all or any of such objects.

By the said Bill it is also intended to empower the said Trustees in the manner authorized by section 14 of the Church Property Trust Amendment Ordinance, 1867, to extend to any part for the time being of the Diocese of Christchurch the application and benefit of all or any part of the property held by them.

By the said Bill it is also intended to empower the said Trustees, out of the income of the Bishopric Estate and also out of the income of the Dean and Chapter Estate, to pay in equal shares the costs, charges, disbursements, and expenses of and attending to the Act.

A copy of the said proposed Bill will be deposited at the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders at Wellington on or before the 31st day of May, 1927.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of A. AND L. GRAHAM, LIMITED.

AT a meeting of all the members of the above-named company, held at Dunedin, on the 21st day of March 1927, the following resolution was duly passed, minuted, and signed by all the said members in accordance with the provisions of section 168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908 :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. HAROLD BOOTH, of Dunedin, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 20th day of May, 1927, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims and the names and addresses of their solicitor (if any) to the undersigned, Manse Street, Dunedin, and, if so required by notice in writing, they are to come in and prove their debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between PAUL REGINALD CLARKE and CYRIL ERNEST SCOTT CLARKE, carrying on business as sheepfarmers at Gimmerburn, in the Provincial District of Otago, under the style or firm of “Clarke Bros.,” has been dissolved as from the 1st day of April, 1927, so far as concerns the said Cyril Ernest Scott Clarke, who retires from the said business.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the above regulations, the Auckland City Council hereby gives notice that it has received notices from the persons and companies named below requiring it, the Auckland City Council, to purchase and acquire the motor-omnibuses and other property of such persons and companies used in connection with the services and undertakings set out hereunder :—

The Royal Motor - bus Company City to Onehunga, Mangere, Panmure, Penrose, and Ellerslie, &c.

The Mount Eden Motor - bus Company, Limited City to Mount Eden, Three Kings, &c.

Northern Automobiles, Ltd. City to Point Chevalier.

Peat and Mulligan (Dominion Bus Service) City to Dominion Road, &c.

Gustafson, C. H. City to Parnell Park, &c.

The Auckland Bell Bus Company, Limited City to Ellerslie.

Every person having any interest in the subject-matter of any of the said claims is hereby called upon to furnish to the Town Clerk of the City of Auckland aforesaid within fourteen days from the date of this notice full particulars as to the nature and value of such interest.

Copies of the said claims may be inspected at the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Queen Street, Auckland, from whom further information may be obtained.
