WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Fendalton Park Loan Proposal.—Result of Poll.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, notice is hereby given that the result of a poll of ratepayers in the proposed Fendalton Park Special-loan Area in the Waimairi County, taken on 17th February, 1927, was as follows :-
The total number of valid votes cast for the proposal was 134 ; against the proposal, 171.
As the number of votes cast in favour of the proposal was less than three-fifths of the total number of votes cast, I therefore declare the proposal to be rejected.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Tauranga, taken on the 30th March, 1927, on the proposal of the Tauranga Borough Council to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the purpose of erecting a building comprising library, public reading-room, and two shops on Lots 2 and 3 of subdivision of Lot 235, Section 1, Town of Tauranga, the number of votes cast was as follows :-
For the proposal, 198 ; against the proposal, 190 ; informal, 5.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Proposed Loan of £75,000.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the New Lynn Town District, taken on the 14th day of March, 1927, on the proposal of the New Lynn Town Board to borrow the sum of £75,000 for the purpose of providing a sewage-drainage and disposal system for the district—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 378 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 274 ; informal, 24.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Proposed Loan of £148,300.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the New Lynn Town District, taken on the 14th day of March, 1927, on the proposal of the New Lynn Town Board to borrow the sum of £148,300 for the purpose of undertaking comprehensive streets-improvements works—
The number of votes for the proposal was 294 ; the number of votes against the proposal was 348 ; informal, 34.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Proposed Loan of £12,000.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the New Lynn Town District, taken on the 14th day of March, 1927, on the proposal of the New Lynn Town Board to borrow the sum of £12,000 for the purpose of purchasing land and laying out a civic centre—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 239 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 399 ; informal, 38.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 25 ; and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 11.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Waiau Pa—Mackenzies Road Special-rating Area of Franklin County was taken on the 14th day of February, 1927, on the proposal of the Franklin County Council to borrow the sum of £1,250 for the purpose of forming and metalling the Waiau Pa to Papakura Road from the Presbyterian Church corner to Mackenzies Landing—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 43 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 8.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
