Directing the Sale of Land in Block X, Orahiri Survey District, under the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of April, 1927.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold :

1 acre 0 roods 8·7 perches.

Being part Section 18, part Hauturu East 1a 5c. Situated in Block X, Orahiri Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 24236.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67310, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red.

Cancelling the Reservation over Part of an Electric Telegraph Reserve, Auckland Land District.


CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eleven of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1926, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby cancel the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto, the said land being portion of the reserve for the purposes of electric telegraph, as described by the said section eleven, and do declare the land over which the reservation is cancelled as aforesaid to be Crown land, available for disposal under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North Auckland Land District for other Land.


CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange :

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Lot 36 of Suburban Section 2, Settlement of Patumahoe, Parish of Puni, Franklin County; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/318, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, more or less, being parts Allotments 7 and 8, Section 1, Parish of Puni; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/318A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notifying Lands in Taranaki Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Waimate West County.—Kaupokonui Survey District.

SUBSECTION 1 of Section 34, Block XIII: Area, 150 acres 1 rood 20 perches. Upset price, £5,700.

Situated on the Taikatu Road, about half a mile from its junction with the Skeet Road, and within easy distance of the Aurora Post-office, school, and dairy factory. The property is divided into sixteen paddocks. About 24 acres is un-stumped, and is in old pasture, and about 6 acres is in shelter bush. Balance of area is in good pasture, generally free from noxious weeds. The boundary and subdivisional fences are for the most part in good order. The streams provide a good supply of water. The dwelling is fairly old, and is connected with a water-supply. The cow-shed is in good order, and is concreted.

Section 49, Block XIV: Area, 164 acres. Upset price, £6,560.

Situated on the Rama Road, about half a mile from its junction with the Skeet Road, and within easy distance of the Aurora Post-office, school, and dairy factory. Subdivided into fourteen paddocks. With the exception of about 5 acres, all the area has been stumped and ploughed, and is in fair
