Land and Appointment Notices

APRIL 14.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 951

pasture. The dwelling-house is rather old, but has been well painted. Cow-shed is in good order, and has been concreted. The farm as a whole is in good shape, fences being well kept, and all noxious weeds have been recently cut. All creek-crossings are in good order.

Waimate West County.—Waimate Survey District.

Section 16, Block II: Area, 165 acres. Upset price, £6,600. Situated on the Rama Road, about one and a half miles from its junction with the Skeet Road. Area is subdivided into fifteen paddocks. From reference to the plan of the section it will be ascertained that there is a considerable amount of boxthorn fencing thereon, which is in good order. One of the paddocks contains about six acres of small gorse; however, the pastures on the remaining paddocks are in fairly good order. Good water can be obtained from the creeks running through the section. Cow-shed is concreted, and in good order, whilst the dwelling is somewhat old.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

These sections originally comprised portion of the Joll Estate, and are situated in the heart of some of the best dairying land in Taranaki. They comprise good-quality land, which is practically all ploughable. A small area on Lot 1 of Section 34, Block XIII, and on Section 49, Block XIV, Kaupokonui Survey District, still requires stumping; otherwise the areas have all been stumped, ploughed, and grassed. The pastures are for the most part in good order, but are beginning to run out in some paddocks. However, as the land responds well to top-dressing, these pastures can be brought back. The dairying industry has been well established in this locality, and those desirous of acquiring a first-class dairy farm on exceptionally good terms are hereby afforded the opportunity of doing so.

On each section being offered a certain amount of hay has been stacked, so as to provide winter feed for the stock. Also, on Lot 1 of Section 34, Block XIII, Kaupokonui Survey District, and Section 16, Block II, Waimate Survey District, certain areas are in swedes for winter-feeding.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of April, 1927.

A. D. McLEOD, Minister of Lands.
