DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE LOAN.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
Loan of £250,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Amendment Act, 1921, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Act, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence (4d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage District ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of September and the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Waipori Falls Electrical Power Loan of £200,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of £200,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council for the purpose of providing funds to meet the cost of extensions and additions to the Waipori hydro-electric undertaking, and generally for the purposes of the Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence (4d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Whereas I, the undersigned ANDREW SELBY D’ATH was born at Waverley, in the Dominion of New Zealand, on the 4th day of September, 1902, and the official register of my birth declared that my name is ANDREW SELBY DE ATH, and during my lifetime I have always been called, known, and distinguished by the name of ANDREW SELBY DE ATH: Now know ye therefore as follows :—

That I, the undersigned Andrew Selby D’Ath, of Kimbolton, in the Provincial District of Wellington and Dominion of New Zealand, Sheepfarmer, do wholly, absolutely, and utterly renounce, relinquish, and abandon the names of Andrew Selby De Ath, and do determine to use the name of Andrew Selby D’Ath.

For the purpose of evidencing such my determination I do hereby declare that I shall at all times in all records, deeds, documents, and other writings, and in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in public and private dealings and transactions, and on all occasions whatsoever use and subscribe the said name of Andrew Selby D’Ath as my name, and so that I may be called, known, or distinguished by the name of Andrew Selby D’Ath.

I hereby expressly authorize and require all and every person or persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me by such name of ANDREW SELBY D’ATH.

NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board intends to execute a certain public work—namely, the erection of electric-power works—and to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of the public work aforesaid, all that parcel of land, situate in the Borough of Hastings, containing by admeasurement one rood three perches (1 rood 3 perches), more or less, being part of Subdivision E, Heretaunga Block, being Lot one (1) on a plan deposited in the Deeds Registry Office at Napier under Number 405, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 94, folio 288, Hawke’s Bay Registry, and being the whole of the land edged pink on the plan hereinafter referred to.
Notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of Messrs. Lusk, Spence, and de Denne, Solicitors, Queen Street, Hastings, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-founded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land are hereby called upon to state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board at its offices in Dickens Street, Napier, New Zealand.
