FIRSTLY, the eastern side of all that portion of road situated in the Otago Land District, County of Waitaki, fronting the western boundaries of Sections 53, 54, and 55, Block I, Oamaru Survey District; secondly, the southern side of all that portion of road situated in the said land district and county, fronting the northern boundary of the said Section 55, and passing through Section 23, Block I, Oamaru Survey District; as the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66763, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Regulations under the Naval Defence Act, 1913, amended.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of March, 1927.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.


SCHEDULE.

REGULATIONS FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND PAYMENT OF THE NEW ZEALAND DIVISION OF THE ROYAL NAVY.

REGULATION No. 4.—Leave of Absence to Officers and Men.—Add new paragraph :—

  1. When H.M. Ships of the New Zealand Division return to England for refit, officers and men who will return in the vessel to New Zealand, and who have already formed part of her complement before her return to England, may receive leave up to a maximum of ten days during the refit. This leave is not to be deducted from the amount of leave due in the leave year.

Regulation No. 21—Adjustment of Compasses.—Cancel.

Appendix II—Ship’s Cook Ratings.—Amend rates of pay as follows, namely :—

The Eastern Side of Portion of Rangiora Avenue, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of March, 1927.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, viz. :—

“ The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets of the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the eastern side of all that part of Rangiora Avenue beginning at a point 5·1 links from the northern boundary of Section 23, and extending generally first towards the north-east for a distance of 75·5 links, thence towards the north-west for a distance of 37 links, adjoining part Lot 26, D.P. 868, part Section 5, Harbour District, Block XI, Belmont Survey District ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the eastern side of the portion of Rangiora Avenue (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

THE eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Rangiora Avenue, abutting on part Lot 26, D.P. 868, being part Section 5, Harbour District, commencing at a point 5·1 links from the northern boundary of Lot 23, and proceeding thence generally first in a north-eastern and then north-western direction for a distance of approximately 112·5 links. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68132, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The Western Side of Portion of Church Street, in the Borough of Devonport, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Church Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Devonport, known as Church Street, abutting on Lot 2, D.P. 6561, being portion of Allotment 17A of Section 2, Parish of Takapuna. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68205, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
