Dargaville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring an additional area of land, approximately 2,700 acres, adjacent to the present water-catchment area, near Kaihu, for the purpose of converting the said land into a water-catchment area, fencing the same, and doing all things necessary to ensure an increased and uncontaminated water-supply for the Borough of Dargaville, contingencies, first year’s interest, and sinking fund, the said Council, pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to one penny (1d.) in the pound sterling the special rate of twenty-seven thirty-seconds (37/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 16th day of February, 1927, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Dargaville, such rate of twenty-seven-thirty-seconds (27/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan, and that such special rate, as increased, shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ELTHAM DRAINAGE BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE RAISING OF LOAN No. 14.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 17 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the special-rating area in the Eltham Drainage District hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the special-rating area, the capital value of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the said drainage district is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the Eltham Drainage Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows :—

For the purpose of land drainage construction-work within the said special-rating area of the Eltham Land Drainage District, the Eltham Drainage Board hereby authorizes the raising of a loan of £3,500, at a rate of interest not exceeding six per centum per annum, plus a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum, for a period of not exceeding 36½ years, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year’s interest and sinking fund on the said loan shall be paid out of the moneys so raised.

Special Rating Area.

The whole of the rateable property within Special-rating Area No. 14 of the Eltham Land Drainage District, and comprising Sections 75 and 76, Block VI, Subs. 8, 9, and 10, Allotment 1 of Sub. 11, and western part of Sub. 11, Subs. 12 and 13, Pukengahu 1, Block VII ; Sections 32, 33, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 43, 44, part 53 (94½ acres), Sections 55 and 57, Block XI, Ngaire Survey District, respectively.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Eltham Drainage Board held on the 8th day of December, 1926, and confirmed at a duly convened meeting of the Board held on the 11th day of January, 1927.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, being 10 per cent. additional on a loan of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of a penny (1/32nd) in the pound sterling upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the Pipiriki Road No. 1 Special-rating District, as described on page 697 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th day of March, 1924, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan. The interest on such loan being at a rate of £6 per centum per annum.

The above special rate is in addition to the special rate levied on the Pipiriki Road No. 1 Special-rating District as gazetted on page 697 of the New Zealand Gazette as aforesaid. It is not proposed to pay the first year’s interest and cost of raising the loan out of the loan moneys.

INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.

York Road Loan, £800.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Inglewood County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on the York Road Loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the Inglewood County Council for the purpose of forming and metalling York Road, the said Council, pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to sixpence (6d.) in the pound (£1) the special rate of 5½d. in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 2nd day of October, 1923 (and gazetted on page 2603 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1923), on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the York Road Special-rating Area, such rate of 5½d. in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest and other charges on such loan, and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.

WAIREWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairewa County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairewa County Kinloch Riding Loan of £1,500, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Wairewa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling all roads in the Kinloch Riding in the County of Wairewa, the said Wairewa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth (1/8th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Kinloch Riding in the County of Wairewa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, and in the matter of the special area described in a resolution of the Christchurch Drainage Board dated the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37, dated the 26th day of April, 1923 (known as Sewerage Extension Loan Special-rating Area).

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, section 5, subsection (f), the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves that the boundaries of the said special area, as described in the resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37, dated the 26th day of April, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as the special area), shall be altered so as to include in the said special area all those two areas more particularly described in the First and Second Schedules hereto ; and hereby further resolves that the said two areas shall form part of and be included in the Subdivision (B) of the said special area, and that the boundaries of the said Subdivision (B) shall be altered
