N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Charles Skinner Williams, M.B., to be Lieutenant, and is attached for duty to the 7th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Wellington East Coast). Dated 31st January, 1927.
William Henry Johnston, M.B., to be Lieutenant, and is attached for duty to the 6th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Manawatu). Dated 2nd February, 1927.
RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
Captain E. Morgan is posted to the Retired List under the provisions of G.O. 184/21, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 3rd February, 1927.
Lieutenant C. O. Pratt, M.C., is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Captain under the provisions of G.O. 184/21, with permission to wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 15th February, 1927.
With reference to the notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 71, of 21st October, 1926, relating to the posting of Lieutenant A. Hutson to the Retired List for the rank of “Lieutenant” read “Captain.”

I HEREBY give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Lawrence-Tuapeka-Bruce area of the Otago Electric-power District, held on 15th February, 1927, on a proposal to raise a loan of £40,000 for the reticulation, &c., of that area, the following votes were recorded :—
For the proposal, 256 ; against the proposal, 17 ;
and, as the number of votes in favour of the proposal exceeds three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal carried.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give public notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Rodney County, taken on the 13th day of January, 1927, on the proposal to levy an additional bridge rate over the whole county, the following votes were recorded :—
For the proposal, 173 ; against the proposal, 331 ; informal, 12.
I hereby declare the proposal rejected.
