Notifying Land in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Castlepoint County.—Castlepoint Survey District.

Lots 1 and 2 on S.O. Plan 124/6, part Section 363, Whareama Registration District, Block X, Castlepoint Survey District : Area, 3 roods 3.2 perches. Upset price, £555.

This property is situated near the Castlepoint Jetty, within easy distance of the beach. The buildings consist of a well-built dwelling of five rooms, with usual outbuildings and concrete tank. Washhouse and bathroom under the same roof.

Situated on Cone Street, Rangiora, 15 chains from Rangiora Railway-station. Consists of a six-roomed dwelling thereon, built of concrete, with iron roof, plastered and part papered; three open fires, gas lighting in three rooms; water-supply, well and pump.

Opening Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Selection.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Tuapeka County.—Beaumont and Tuapeka West Survey Districts.—Bellamy Settlement.

SECTION 2A: Area, 90 acres 2 roods 18 perches. Capital value £430. Half-yearly rent, £10 15s.

Weighted with £8 6s. 3d., valuation for improvements, comprising fencing, to be paid for in cash.

Improvements, included in the capital value, comprise fencing valued at £37 16s.

General Description.

Bellamy Settlement is situated on the main road, Lawrence to Roxburgh, half a mile from the Beaumont Railway-station. Section 2A is broken land with fairly steep faces, with a fair amount of manuka. Soil generally is black loam on clay formation. Most of the arable land has been cultivated and is now in old pasture. At the present time the section carries a fair amount of rough feed with a fair sprinkling of clover. Section well watered. The nearest school and store are at Beaumont.

Special Condition.—The successful applicant will be liable for his half share of the boundary fencing.

Opening Land in the Gisborne Land District for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and seventy-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Thursday, the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments thereof.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Opotiki County.—Motu Survey District.

SECTIONS 20 and 21, Block II; area, 98 acres 2 rood 34 perches. Capital value, £660. Deferred payments: Deposit, £35; half-yearly instalment, £20 6s. 3d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £13 4s.

Land is situated about one mile from Motu Village and about four miles from Motuhora Railway-station. The area comprises undulating land and low hills; well watered. Good soil on sandy clay subsoil. Land suitable for dairying when cleared and in grass. Average altitude about 1,700 ft. 60 acres were burnt and sown last year. Improvements, valued at £165, are included in the capital value.
