Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Subdivisions of the Rangitoto A No. 39b and A No. 48b Blocks, Block III, Pakaumanu Survey District, Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was by an order of the Native Land Court made on the seventeenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authorities of the districts concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1414, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2204, and thereon coloured as above-mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of February, 1927.

Resuming Land for Gravel Purposes in Lower Hawea Survey District, Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part V of the said Act, or under the corresponding provisions of any former Land Act, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto form part of land held under small grazing-run lease from His Majesty the King, issued under Part V of the Land Act, 1908, and dated the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required for a public purpose—that is to say, for gravel purposes:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I General Sir Charles, Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under small grazing-run lease as aforesaid.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of February, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Onewhero Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of February, 1927.

Constituting the North Canterbury Electric-power District and Outer Area.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the district described in the First Schedule hereto to be an electric-power district, and I hereby assign to such district the name of the “North Canterbury Electric-power District”; and I do further proclaim that the area described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be the outer area of such electric-power district.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.

ALL that area of land situated in the Land District of Canterbury, comprising the County of Rangiora (but not including therein the Borough of Rangiora), the County of Kowai, and the Loburn-Whiterock Riding of the Ashley County, all as at present constituted, together with those portions of the Counties of Oxford, Ashley, and Eyre as are bounded as follows: Commencing at a point being the intersection of the Rangiora, Eyre, and Waimairi County boundaries, and proceeding thence generally in the following directions: South-westerly along the southern boundary of the Eyre
