Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street, in Borough of New Plymouth, at New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the New Plymouth Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 1 rood 24·32 perches.
Portion of Railway Reserve, (Section 50, Grey District), Borough of New Plymouth.
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 35754, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of February, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway and is not now required for such purposes) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Whakatane County Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with: 1 rood 12 perches.
Being portion of railway land, situated in Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, Matata Parish. (S.O. 23842.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65094, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of March, 1927.
