along the boundary of Rural Section 37047 in an easterly direction to the corner; thence southerly, south-east, and south-west following the boundary of Rural Section 31220 to its intersection with Hayland Road at the Garry River; thence following the Garry River in a south-easterly direction to its junction with the county boundary at the confluence of the Garry and Ashley Rivers; thence following in a westerly direction the boundary between Rangiora and Ashley Counties to the point of intersection of the Oxford, Ashley, and Rangiora County boundaries; thence following along the western Rangiora County boundary generally in a southerly direction to the point of intersection of Oxford, Eyre, and Rangiora County boundaries; thence following the Rangiora County south boundary in a general south-easterly direction to the intersection of the county boundary with the Kaiapoi Borough boundary; thence following the Borough boundary in a southerly and then easterly direction back to the commencing-point. As the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66942, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington. in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged yellow.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

OUTER AREA.

ALL that area of land situated in the Land District of Canterbury, comprising that part of the County of Ashley, the County of Oxford, and the County of Eyre, not comprised in the Electric-power District of North Canterbury, together with the Borough of Rangiora and the Borough of Kaiapoi; all as at present constituted. As the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66942, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of February, 1927.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Street, at Lucknow Terrace, in the City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a street at Lucknow Terrace, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.
