In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments; and in the matter of SCHNEIDEMAN BROTHERS (LIMITED), a duly registered private company carrying on business at 215-219 Queen Street, Auckland, and formerly also carrying on business at High Street and Colombo Street, Christchurch.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named company, at a general meeting of its shareholders held on Thursday, 2nd December, 1926, passed the following resolutions:—

  1. “That it being proved to the satisfaction of the company that Schneideman Brothers (Limited) cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, the company be wound up voluntarily.”
  2. “That WILLIAM ARCHIBALD KENDON, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company and distributing its assets.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between DAVID ARMSTRONG and JAMES HAISTY, carrying on business as General Storekeepers at Ngahere and Blackball, under the style of “Armstrong and Haisty,” has been dissolved as on and from the date hereof. The Ngahere business will be continued by said DAVID ARMSTRONG, and the Blackball business will be continued by said JAMES HAISTY.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £13,900 authorized to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying off the Masterton Borough Council Special Loans, 1905, totalling £25,000, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the South Ward of the Borough of Masterton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of December and the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £110,000, authorized to be raised by the Mount Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for—

The permanent construction of roads in cement, concrete, or bituminous concrete, and the construction of footpaths (including the moving and replacement of water-mains where required) £87,500
Provision of fire-alarm system and of second motor .. .. .. 3,000
Purchase of roadsweeper .. .. .. 1,500
Replacement of old water-mains and provision of new mains .. .. .. 10,000
Addition to Council Chambers.. .. .. 4,500
Erection of tea-kiosk on mountain .. .. 2,000
Provision of refuse-destructor .. .. .. 1,500
£110,000

The Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eightpence in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Eden, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
