river and by the southern and western boundaries of the Borough of Feilding as described in New Zealand Gazette. 1925, page 641, to the middle of Highfield Road; thence by a line along the middle of Highfield Road to the south-eastern corner of Allotment No. 23 of Section No. 131 on plan No. 1235, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence by the southern boundary of that allotment to its south-western corner; thence by Sections 128, 127, 123, 122, and 117, Block XIII, Oroua Survey District, and the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section produced to the middle of the road at its north-western corner; thence by a line along the middle of the road forming the western and part of the northern boundaries of Section No. 116, Block IX, Oroua Survey District, to the Mangaone Stream; thence by that stream to the northern boundary of Section No. 112, Block IX aforesaid ; thence by that section to its north-western corner; thence by Section No. 111, Block XII, Rangitoto Survey District, across a road and by Section No. 101, Block XII aforesaid, the southern boundary of Section No. 144, Native Reserve, to a public road; thence across that road and by its western side to the southern boundary of Section No. 99; thence by the southern boundary of that section and its production to the middle of the Rangitikei River; and thence by a line along the middle of the Rangitikei River to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom the Borough of Feilding.
KIWITEA COUNTY.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Rangitikei River in line with the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block XIV, Ongo Survey District; thence by a line up the middle of the Rangitikei River to its confluence with the Kawhatau River; thence by a line up the middle of the Kawhatau River to its source; thence by a line running due east to the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence southerly along the summit of the Ruahine Range to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Awarua 1A No. 3 South Block; thence to and along that boundary to the middle of the Oroua River; thence down the middle of the Oroua River to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of the Oroua County, hereinbefore described; thence north-westerly and northerly along that boundary to the middle of the Rangitikei River, the place of commencement.

All that area in the Oroua County bounded on the south-west, north, and north-east by the county boundaries and on the south-east by the Oroua River,

Amendments to the Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Department Act, 1918.-Allowances.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, regulations were made under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Department Act, 1918, for the classification and regulation of the Department:
And whereas it is expedient to amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling him, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the regulation numbered sixty-two under the heading 'Allowances' in the Schedule of the above-mentioned
Order in Council, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth further order and declare that such revocation and the regulation hereby made shall have effect from the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
- In any case where an officer is directed to commence duty at least two hours before the ordinary time, or is required to perform at least two hours' duty after the time he ordinarily obtains release, without an interval sufficient to admit of his travelling to his home, or who, without previous warning of the circumstances of his employment on any particular day, cannot be given the opportunity to follow his usual practice of obtaining a meal at midday, he may be granted a meal allowance on the following scale:-

Officers receiving £400 a year or over .. 2 6
Officers receiving under £400 a year .. 2 0
Tram fares to and from the officer's residence may be paid only when no meal allowance is granted. A meal allowance shall not be paid to officers on regular day duty who can be released without difficulty for sufficient time to take their meals at home.

Appointing Members of the Surveyors' Board under the Surveyors' Institute and Board of Examiners Act, 1908.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Surveyors' Institute and Board of Examiners Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby appoint, as from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the undermentioned persons to be members of the Surveyors' Board constituted by the said Act, namely,-
George Henry Bullard,
Thomas Brook,
Samuel Thomas Seddon, M.C., and Archibald Hugh Bogle,
the two first-named persons having been nominated by the Minister of Lands, and the two last-named persons having been nominated by the Council of the Institute of Surveyors, as required by the said Act.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section two of the Coroners Amendment Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in Council made under that Act on the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, in the manner specified in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.
