Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of December, 1926.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Herries Memorial Park Domain.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of that month, the Te Aroha Bridge Domain Board was constituted and appointed to control the Te Aroha Bridge Domain, in pursuance of section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:
And whereas it is desired to change the name of the said Te Aroha Bridge Domain to Herries Memorial Park Domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the date hereof, be known as the Herries Memorial Park Domain; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, hereinbefore referred to, and doth hereby appoint
The Te Aroha Borough Council
to be the Herries Memorial Park Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
The first meeting of the said Board shall be held on Wednesday, the twenty-ninth day of December, at half past seven o’clock p.m., at the Borough Council Chambers, Te Aroha.
SCHEDULE.
HERRIES MEMORIAL PARK DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 14 perches, more or less, being Section 2 of Block XXIV, Town of Te Aroha, part of Terminus Street closed by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of 9th December, 1915, page 3991, and Section 2 of Block XXI, Town of Te Aroha. Bounded, commencing at the most westerly corner of Section 1, Block XXI, Town of Te Aroha, at its intersection with Bridge Street, towards the north-east and north-west by the said Section 1; again towards the north-east by Honi Street; towards the south-east by Kenrick Street; towards the south-west by a public road, to the southernmost corner of Section 1, Block XXIV, Town of Te Aroha; again towards the north-west and south-west by the last-mentioned Section 1; and again towards the north-west by Bridge Street to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 17 perches, more or less, being parts of Lipsey, Honi, Terminus, and Boundary Streets closed by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 9th December, 1915, page 3991, Section 3 of Block XVII, Block XXII, and Block XXIII, Town of Te Aroha. Bounded, commencing at the most westerly corner of the technical-school site at its intersection with Kenrick Street, towards the north-east and north-west by the aforesaid technical-school site; again towards the north-east by Block XVI, Town of Te Aroha, and Boundary Street; towards the south-east by a right line bearing 51° 15′, 1233·4 links; towards the south and west generally by a public road to the most westerly corner of Block XXIII, Town of Te Aroha; again towards the north-west by Kenrick Street; again towards the north-east and north-west by Sections 2 and 1, Block XVII, Town of Te Aroha; towards the south-west by the said Section 1; again towards the north-west by Kenrick Street to the point of commencement.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/486, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

The Northern Side of Portion of Cross Street, in the City of Auckland, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, viz:—
“ That the Auckland City Council, having control of Cross Street, Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the said street fronting Lots 41 and 42 of Allotment 8, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland ”; such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE northern side of all that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Cross Street, fronting Lots 41 and 42 of Allotment 8, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66895, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
