said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-pence (3d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Waimate; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable at the Town Clerk’s Office, Waimate, on the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A PUBLIC ROAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei County Council proposes, in exercise of the powers in that behalf vested in it by the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amendments, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of a public work—namely, a public road—and that a plan of the land so proposed to be taken is open for inspection at the County Office, Whangarei, during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the said taking, and having any well-grounded objection thereto or to the taking of the said land, are hereby called upon to set forth such objection in writing to the Whangarei County Council within forty days from the 26th day of November, 1926, being the date of the first publication of this notice. (Plan No. 23851, Part I and Part II).

WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £19,000 authorized to be raised by the said Council under the above-mentioned Act, for providing a high-pressure water-supply and extension of water-mains, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and nineteen-fiftieths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipukurau, comprising the whole of the Borough of Waipukurau, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DANNEVIRKE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Dannevirke County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorized to be raised by the Dannevirke County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing money for the erection of bridges of 20 ft. span and over within the County of Dannevirke and under the jurisdiction of Dannevirke County Council, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-seven one-hundredths (27/100ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Dannevirke, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, held at the registered office of the company on Friday, the 3rd day of December, 1926, the following special resolution was duly confirmed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that DONALD GORDON JOHNSTON, Public Accountant, of Wellington, be appointed Liquidator.”

UAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Uawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Uawa County Workers’ Dwelling Loan of £1,400, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Uawa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the purchase of a section and erection of residence thereon, the said Uawa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two seventy-fifths (2/75ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Uawa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Castlepoint County Workers’ Dwellings Loan of £2,000, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Castlepoint County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a roadman’s cottage adjacent to the Tinui–Whakataki Road, and for altering, enlarging, repairing, and improving existing workers’ dwellings, and supplying same with requisite fittings and conveniences, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventeenth (1/17th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Castlepoint, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
