NOTICE is hereby iven that ELECTROLUX LIMITED,
a foreign company carrying on business in New
Zealand, intends, at the expiration of three months from
the date of this notice to cease carrying on business in New
Zealand. This notice is published pursuant to section 307
of the Companies Act, 1908.

TARADALE TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Taradale Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of ten
thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized to be raised by the
Taradale Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of purchasing or acquiring land, with or without
buildings thereon, and for the purpose of erecting workers'
dwellings on land so purchased or acquired, the said Taran-
dale Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one (1) penny and nine-sixteenths (9/16ths) of a penny in
the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of
the Taradale Town District; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

WAIPARA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Waipara County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of two thousand pounds, authorized to be
raised by the Waipara County Council under subsection (e)
of section 17 of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
erecting a public hall and library at Waikari, in the County
of Waipara, the said Waipara County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny in the
pound upon all the rateable property in the special-rating
area in the County of Waipara as defined in the Schedule to
the special order constituting the same; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
first days of April and October in each and every year, being
a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WOODVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING A SPECIAL RATE re MACHINERY LOAN.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wood-
vilie County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of six
thousand pounds (£6,000), authorized to be raised by the
Woodville County Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, and erecting
plant, machinery, appliances, and any buildings necessary in
connection therewith, and also purchasing the existing main
road plant, machinery, and material, the said Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of two twenty-thirds (2/23rds)
of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in
the whole of the County of Woodville ; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.


RESOLUTION STRIKING A SPECIAL RATE re MAIN ROAD LOAN.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all
other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Woodville
County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of five
thousand pounds (£5,000), authorized to be raised by the
Woodville County Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of constructing (including widening and
deviating, if necessary) and tar-sealing the main roads (now
highways)—viz., the Napier-Wellington via Wairarapa, and
the Woodville-Palmerston North highways respectively—
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
four fifty-fifths (4/55ths) of a penny in the pound sterling
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Wood-
villie ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recur-
ring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

mate Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Waimate
Borough Waterworks Redemption Loan of £7,000, 1926,
authorized to be raised by the Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of the redemption of water-
works loan debentures falling due 31st December, 1926, the
