And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as public roads the road-lines described in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Otira Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 1 acre 1 rood 19 perches.
Adjoining Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1677, Block X, Otira Survey District.
In the Westland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1328, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2163, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of February, 1926.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of February, 1926.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area should be excluded from the Borough of Featherston and included in the County of Featherston :
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended certain alterations of the said area :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of boundaries of the said borough and to declare to what riding of the said county such area shall be added :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Featherston and included in the County of Featherston ; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby further declare that as on and from the aforesaid date the area included as aforesaid in the County of Featherston shall be added to and form part of the Featherston Riding of that county.
SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON.
ALL that area bounded on the north by Section 261, Featherston Suburbs, on the east by Donald Street, on the south by Sections 287 and 286, Featherston Suburbs, and on the west by Waitt Street, and being Sections 262, 263, and 264, Featherston Suburbs.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of the Wellington-Masterton Railway in line with the north-eastern boundary of part Section 85, Featherston Suburbs ; thence south-easterly along that boundary across Hickson Street and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 86, Featherston Suburbs, to Brown Street, across Brown Street, and north-easterly along the eastern side of Brown Street to its junction with Murphy's Line ; thence south-westerly along the western side of Murphy's Line to the south-eastern corner of Section 119, Featherston Suburbs ; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Section 119 to Brown Street, across Brown Street, and along the north-eastern side of Harrison Street to Hickson Street ; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Hickson Street to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 110, Featherston Suburbs ; thence across Hickson Street and the said north-eastern boundary to Birdwood Road ; thence north-easterly along the eastern boundaries of Birdwood Road and the Wellington-Masterton Railway to the starting-point.
