Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wanganui City Council on the 5th day of October, 1926 :--

"That the City Council, having control of the street known as Durie Street, hereby resolves that section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the street fronting Sections 50 and 51, a distance of 250 links "; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of the portion of Durie Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

The southern side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wanganui, known as Durie Street, fronting Lots 50 and 51, D.P. 275, being parts Section 43, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and disused road. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67458, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Authorizing the Exchange of Settlement Land in the Wellington Land District for other Land.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section seventy-four of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time exchange any settlement land for any other land, and may on such exchange pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange :

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it is expedient to exchange the settlement land described in Part I of the Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in Part II of the said Schedule, and the owner of the land described in the second part of the said Schedule has agreed to such exchange :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said section seventy-four, do hereby authorize the exchange of the settlement land described in Part I of the Schedule hereto for the land described in Part II of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in the Borough of Petone, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 36-15 perches, more or less, being part of Section 6, Hutt Registration District, and being Lot 4 on plan numbered 256/14, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

PART II.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in the Borough of Petone, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 2-2 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 5 and 6, Hutt Registration District, and being Lot 1 on plan numbered 256/15, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of November, 1926.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in the Borough of Petone, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 3 roods 36 perches, more or less, being part of Section 6, Hutt Registration District, and being Lot 2 on plan numbered 256/15, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered blue.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of November, 1926.

Declaring Road-lines intersecting Land in Finlayson Settlement, North Auckland Land District, to be closed, and the Land comprised therein to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and six of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the land comprised in the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.
