Consenting to the Raising of £100,000, being a Portion of a
Loan of £150,000 authorized to be raised by the Thames
Valley Electric-power Board on the Instalment System,
extending over a Period of 36½ Years.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of
November, 1926.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS section thirty-two of the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1926, provides that where any local
authority has heretofore been or shall hereafter be authorized
to raise a loan, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or
otherwise, and whether such loan has been raised in part
or not, such local authority may, with the consent of the
Governor-General in Council, raise such loan or any part
thereof upon terms of making the same, together with interest
thereon, repayable by instalments extending over such period
of years, whether in excess of the period mentioned in the
poll taken on the proposal for such loan or not, and payable
at such times as may be fixed by such local authority, and may
permanently appropriate and pledge for the purpose of securing
such instalments any special rate already made or hereafter
to be made or any part of such special rate:
And whereas the Thames Valley Electric-power Board
has been authorized to borrow the sum of one hundred and
fifty thousand pounds for electric works, and is now desirous
of raising the sum of one hundred thousand pounds, being
a portion of the loan of one hundred and fifty thousand
pounds:
And whereas application has been made by the aforesaid
Power Board for the consent of His Excellency the Governor-
General in Council to the raising of the said one hundred
thousand pounds on the instalment system, extending over a
period of thirty-six and a half years, at a rate of interest not
exceeding five and three-quarters per centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the Thames Valley Electric-power
Board raising the sum of one hundred thousand pounds upon
the terms of making the same, together with interest thereon,
repayable by instalments extending over a period of thirty-
six and a half years, at a rate of interest not exceeding five
and three-quarters per centum per annum, and the said
Thames Valley Electric-power Board is hereby authorized
to borrow the said sum of one hundred thousand pounds on
these terms.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Kaiteriteri
Survey District, Nelson Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day
of November, 1926.

THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for Pro-
vincial Government purposes, being a purpose within Class I
of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:
And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appro-
priated for a site for a public library, being a purpose within
the said Class I:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him
by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the said land shall, from
and after the date hereof, be appropriated for a site for a
public library under Class I of the Public Reserves and Do-
mains Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 28·7 perches, more or less, being Section 4,
Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District, Bounded towards the
north, 370·46 links, by Section 5, Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey
District; towards the south-west, 382·68 links, by a public
road; and towards the east, 97 links, by a public road: be the
aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more
particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 22/3554,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Sur-
vey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Utiku
Domain.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby appoint
William James Beckett,
John Edmund Geange,
Robert James Gibbs,
John Gilchrist, and
William Alfred Christopher Picard
to be the Utiku Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint
Wednesday, the twenty-fourth day of November, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-six, at eight o'clock p.m., as the
time when, and Mr. Gilchrist's House, Utiku, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SECTIONS 4 and 5, Block I, Township of Utiku: Area, 5 acres

of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint
James Sanderson Black,
Alfred Judd,
George Henry Lemon,
Thomas George Fletcher Sutton, and
James Martyn Innes Vercoe
to be the Paengaroa Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
appoint Tuesday, the fifteenth day of February, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-seven, at eight o'clock p.m., as the
time when, and the Schoolhouse, Paengaroa, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
