NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908, that the following minutes were entered in the minute-book of the company on the 5th day of October, 1926, and were duly signed by shareholders :—
“That in view of the proposed retirement (owing to advanced years) of the Managing Director, Mr. J. Reynolds, the company be wound up voluntarily.
“That JOHN REYNOLDS, Merchant, Christchurch, and J. MAWSON STEWART, Public Accountant, Christchurch, be and are hereby appointed Liquidators.”

THE HENLEY MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that by a special resolution in forms of subsection (6) of section 168 and section 220 (a) of the Companies Act, 1908, dated the 5th day of October, 1926, it was resolved that the HENLEY MINING COMPANY (LIMITED) be wound up voluntarily, and that WILLIAM McKEGG, of Palmerston North, Brewery Manager, be appointed Liquidator.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Rangitikei County Kauangaroa Bridge Loan of £900, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing portion of the cost of construction of bridge over the Wangaehu River at Kauangaroa as authorized by and more fully set forth in the Schedule of a Warrant dated the 28th day of April, 1926, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General under the provisions of section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 6th day of May, 1926, on page 1219, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one five-hundredth (1/500th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rangitikei ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Rangitikei County Vinegar Hill Bridge Loan of £2,500, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the Council’s contribution towards cost of reconstruction (in part) Rangitikei River Bridge at Vinegar Hill, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-ninety-fifth (1/195th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rangitikei ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAMAKI ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and section 12 of the Auckland City and Auckland Museum Empowering Act, 1924, the Tamaki Road Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows :—
First, to borrow the sum of one hundred thousand pounds for the purpose of paying the Board’s contribution towards the building of a Waterfront Road to Auckland, such loan to be called the Tamaki Road Board Waterfront Road Loan, 1926.
Second, That the currency of the loan shall be for a period of 36½ years, commencing on the 1st day of August, 1926, and maturing on the 1st day of February, 1963.
Third, That interest on the said loan shall be at a rate not exceeding six pounds per centum per annum, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and September in each year.
Fourth, That for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of £100,000 the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-eighth of a penny (1⅛d.) in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the whole of the Tamaki Road District ; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 16th day of July during the currency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Fifth, That the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year shall be paid out of the loan.

PALMERSTON NORTH PUBLIC WORKS (RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT) LOAN OF £3,000, 1926.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Palmerston North Borough Public Works (Relief of Unemployment) Loan of £3,000, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the reconstruction and surfacing of streets, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth (1/40th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Palmerston North ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Whangarei Borough Unemployment Relief Loan, of £4,000, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of relieving unemployment, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (1/10d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan.
