BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £700, being 10 per cent. on a loan of £7,000, authorized to be raised by the Mount Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the provision of additional water-mains and the renewal of existing mains within the borough, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Eden; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAMAKI ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments also under the powers contained in the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, the Tamaki Road Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—
First, To borrow the sum of two thousand pounds for the purpose of undertaking the following works:—
(a.) Contribution draining Madill’s Lagoon;
(b.) Duplication Madill’s culvert;
(c.) Grading, re-forming, and repairing Glendowie Road;
(d.) Construction of various new footpaths;
(e.) First year’s interest and sinking fund and loan flotation expenses,——
such loan to be called the Tamaki Road Board “Unemployment Loan, 1926.”
Second, That the currency of the loan shall be for a period of 36½ years, commencing on the 1st day of August, 1926, and maturing on the 1st day of February, 1963.
Third, That interest on the said loan shall be at a rate not exceeding six pounds per centum per annum, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of March and September in each year.
Fourth, That for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of £2,000, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the whole of the Tamaki Road District. Such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 16th day of July during the currency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Fifth, That the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year shall be paid out of the loan.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Tamaki Road Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—
First, To borrow the sum of four hundred and seventy-five pounds, being ten per centum additional loan for the purpose of completing new offices, fire brigade, and bathing-sheds; such loan to be called the Tamaki Road Board Offices, Fire Brigade, and Bathing-sheds 10-per-cent. Additional Loan.
Second, That the currency of the loan shall be for a period of 36½ years commencing on the 1st day of August, 1926, and maturing on the 1st day of February, 1963.
Third, That interest on the said loan shall be at a rate not exceeding six pounds per centum per annum, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and September in each year.
Fourth, That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of four hundred and seventy-five pounds, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-twenty-eighth of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the whole of the Tamaki Road District. Such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 16th day of July during the currency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Fifth, That the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year shall be paid out of the loan.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Rangitikei County Mataroa North Special-rating Area Loan of £150, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling for the first time on the Mataroa Road from the end of the metalled portion of the road near the south boundary of Section 4, Block XIII, Ohinewairua Survey District, southwards for a distance of about 20 chains, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third (⅓) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Mataroa North Special-rating District in the County of Rangitikei; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

(1.) A list of members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces killed in action, died of wounds inflicted, or accidents occurring, or disease contracted while on active service.
(2.) Those who died after discharge from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted or disease contracted while on active service.
(3.) Those who died from accident occurring or disease contracted while training with or attached to the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces in New Zealand.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.: over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
