Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and seventy-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Wairoa County.—Nuhaka Survey District.
SECTION 6, Block VII: Area, 476 acres 2 roods 11 perches. Capital value, £2,250. Deferred payment: Deposit, £112 10s.; half-yearly instalment, £69 9s. 4d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £45.
Situated two miles from Nuhaka Township, school, and dairy factory. Watered by running streams. Contains about 33 acres of sloping flat, very suitable for dairying or agricultural purposes; 10 acres hill-face frontage in light standing bush, 2 acres in sandhills and dunes, the balance comprising standing manuka, fern, and light bush in gullies. Soil light to fair, resting on clay.
The improvements, consisting of 47 chains (approximate) of fencing, valued at £47, are included in the capital value.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 14th day of October, 1926.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary on this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof.

SECTION 65, Block IX: Area, 521 acres 0 roods 36 perches. Capital value, £530. Deferred payment: Deposit, £25; half-yearly instalment, £16 8s. 2d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £10 12s.
Weighted with £120, valuation for improvements, consisting of hut, fencing, clearing, and grassing.
Situated two miles from Timpanys Railway-station and Post-office and four miles from Waimatua School. Approximately 140 acres on terrace in grass, 10 acres in standing manuka, remainder unimproved.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the thirteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Bay of Islands County.—Remuera Settlement.
SECTION 21s: Area, 209 acres 0 roods 31 perches. Capital value, £1,545; £260.* Half-yearly rent, £38 12s. 6d.; £16 16s. 9d.†
- Buildings.
† Half-yearly instalment of principal and interest on buildings, consisting of dwelling (kauri and rimu) of two rooms and porch, and six-bail cow-byre (kauri, with iron roof), valued at £260, to be paid for in cash or in ten years by twenty half-yearly instalments of £16 16s. 9d. Total half-yearly payment on lease, £55 9s. 3d.
Section situated about two miles from Ohaeawai Township and dairy factory and eight miles from Kaikohe Railway-station. There are about 50 acres ploughable, balance rising fairly steeply. There are approximately 60 acres clear grass, balance fern, all carrying good rough feed. Soil is of very fair volcanic; only fairly watered. There are about 60 chains of road-fencing, five wires, very fair order, 24 chain boundary fencing, five and seven wires, good order, and 260 chains subdivision fencing, five wires, fair order.
Section 23s: Area, 88 acres 1 rood 9 perches. Capital value, £700; £400.* Half-yearly rent, £17 10s; £19 5s. 4d.†

† Half-yearly instalment of principal and interest on buildings, consisting of dwellinghouse (rimu, with iron roof) of three rooms and scullery, lined, ceiled, and papered; eight-bail cow-byre, and separator-room (rimu with iron roof), three-quarters concrete floor and yard; valued at £400, to be paid for in cash or in fifteen years by thirty half-yearly instalments of £19 5s. 4d. Total half-yearly payment on lease, £36 15s. 4d.
Situated about one mile from Ohaeawai Post-office and dairy factory and seven miles from Kaikohe Railway-station. Land level to easy sloping with good aspect, nearly all ploughable. Fairly well watered by permanent springs. About 10 acres are in solid gorse, balance carries good to rough feed. There is 30 chains of road-fencing, seven wires, very fair order, and 32 chains boundary fencing, seven wires, very good order.
Bay of Islands County.—Pakaraka Settlement.
Section 5s: Area, 39 acres 1 rood; capital value, £240; half-yearly rent, £6.
Situated about four miles and a half from Otiria Railway-station, one mile from Pakaraka School, and five miles from Bay of Islands Dairy Factory at Ohaeawai. Easy sloping country covered with gorse, with danthonia running through it. Soil is clay and volcanic; fairly well watered by permanent stream. Fences are in very poor state of repair. Only building is dwelling, rimu and iron, unpainted, iron chimney, and range. Situation of section is good, being about one and a half hours’ drive to freezing-works. Suitable as holding-paddock.
Sections 14s, 16s, and 19s: Area, 318 acres 0 roods 28 perches. Capital value, £1,885; £190.* Half-yearly rent, £47 2s. 6d.; £12 6s. 1d.†
- Buildings.
† Half-yearly instalment of principal and interest on buildings, consisting of rimu dwelling with iron roof, two rooms and porch, four-bail cow-byre (rimu and iron), separator-room (no floor), valued at £190; to be paid for in cash or in ten years by twenty half-yearly instalments of £12 6s. 1d. Total half-yearly payment on lease, £59 8s. 7d.
Situated between Kawakawa and Ohaeawai, with frontage to Main North Road, four miles from Otiria Railway-station, three miles from Pakaraka School, and six miles from Bay of Islands Dairy Factory at Ohaeawai. Flat and easy sloping country, all ploughable. About 15 acres bush, 30 acres swamp, balance covered with heavy gorse. Soil is volcanic and semi-volcanic on clay formation. Well watered by lake, streams, and springs. About 200 chains of boundary and subdivisional fencing in varying conditions. Suitable for either sheep or cattle.
