HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces :
STAFF.
Captain A. K. Lambly (N.Z. Staff Corps) relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, North Auckland Regiment, as from 10th September, 1926, and is appointed Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General, Central Command. Dated 16th September, 1926.
Lieutenant S. Gibbons (Durham Light Infantry) is granted the local rank of Captain whilst serving with the N.Z. Permanent Forces, with seniority as from the 21st October, 1924.
1ST N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (CANTERBURY YEOMANRY CAVALRY).
Major D. S. Murchison, D.S.O., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 10. Dated 24th September, 1926.
5TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (OTAGO HUSSARS).
2nd Lieutenant A. L. Lindsay is posted to the Retired List under the provisions of G.O. 184/21, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 22nd September, 1926.
THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
2nd Lieutenant G. Burt (12th Field Battery) is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 11. Dated 10th September, 1926.
THE N.Z. INFANTRY.
The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).
Captain N. L. Macky, M.C., to be Major, 1st Battalion. Dated 17th February, 1926.
2nd Lieutenant H. P. Greenhough (1st Battalion) resigns his commission. Dated 15th September, 1926.
THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.
Captain J. Thompson (1st C. Battalion) is posted to the Retired List under the provisions of G.O. 184/21, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 16th September, 1926.
The Hawke’s Bay Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant A. J. G. Heron (1st C. Battalion) resigns his commission. Dated 23rd September, 1926.
The Taranaki Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) T. M. McDonald (1st C. Battalion) is transferred to the Southland Regiment. Dated 20th September, 1926.
The Canterbury Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant F. L. Simson (4th C. Battalion) to be Lieutenant. Dated 24th September, 1926.
Lieutenant I. H. Owen (4th C. Battalion) is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 10. Dated 17th September, 1926.
Lieutenant C. V. Kirke (1st Battalion) is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 10. Dated 16th September, 1926.

2nd Lieutenant R. H. Jellyman (1st Battalion) resigns his commission. Dated 25th September, 1926.
