to be Deputy Commissioner of Crown Lands and Deputy Chief Surveyor for the Otago Land District for the purpose of the Land Act, 1924, as from the 26th day of August, 1926.
Walter James Blackler, Esq.,
to be Clerk of the Warden’s Courts at Naseby and Macraes, and Receiver of Gold Revenue and Mining Registrar at Naseby, Macrae’s, and Livingstone for the Otago Mining District, constituted under the Mining Act, 1908, as from the 1st day of September, 1926.
Thomas Andrew Wilson, Esq.,
to be Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the district of Rawene, and Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Rawene, as from the 20th day of August, 1926.

STAFF.
Major R. Miles, D.S.O., M.C., p.s.c. (Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery), having returned from England, ceases to be seconded, with effect from 24th August, 1926, and is attached temporarily for duty at General Headquarters. Dated 1st September, 1926.
Captain P. L. Villar, M.C. (the South Wales Borderers) to be Adjutant, 1st Battalion, the Auckland Regiment. Dated 8th January, 1926.
Lieutenant G. M. McCaskill (N.Z. Staff Corps) relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 8B, and Adjutant, 2nd N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Queen Alexandra’s Wellington West Coast), dated 18th August, 1926, and having proceeded to India for attachment on exchange to the British Army is seconded. Dated 20th August, 1926.
Lieutenant J. A. M. Clachan (N.Z. Staff Corps) relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 7B, and Adjutant, 7th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Wellington East Coast), dated 18th August, 1926, and having proceeded to India for attachment on exchange to the British Army is seconded. Dated 20th August, 1926.
Lieutenant D. T. Maxwell (N.Z. Staff Corps) relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer (Intelligence) at General Headquarters, dated 9th August, 1926, and having proceeded to India for attachment on exchange to the British Army is seconded. Dated 20th August, 1926.
Captain S. C. V. W. Sugden, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 6B, and Adjutant, 6th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Manawatu), dated 10th August, 1926, and is appointed Area Officer, Area 7B, and Adjutant, 7th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Wellington East Coast), vice Lieutenant J. A. M. Clachan, N.Z.S.C. Dated 19th August, 1926.
Captain R. C. C. Steele, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General, Central Command, dated 9th August, 1926, and is appointed General Staff Officer (Intelligence), General Headquarters, vice Lieutenant D. T. Maxwell, N.Z.S.C. Dated 10th August, 1926.
Lieutenant A. H. L. Sugden (N.Z. Staff Corps) relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Area Officer, Area 5B, dated 8th August, 1926, and is appointed Area Officer, Area 8B, and Adjutant 2nd N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Queen Alexandra’s Wellington West Coast), vice Lieutenant G. M. McCaskill, N.Z.S.C. Dated 19th August, 1926.
