Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Gray’s Bush Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1926.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

The Commissioner of Crown Lands, Gisborne, ex officio,
The Mayor of Gisborne, ex officio,
The Chairman, Cook County Council, ex officio,
Claude Herbert Williams,
Howard Kenway,
Thomas Todd, and
Arapeta Rongo Whakaaka

to be the Gray’s Bush Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the sixteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at three-thirty o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Gisborne, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—GRAY’S BUSH DOMAIN.

SECTION 2, Block XIV, Waimata Survey District, containing an area of 30 acres, more or less, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 77, folio 17, Gisborne Registry.

Appointment of Cemetery Trustees revoked.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a certain Warrant dated the thirty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, and gazetted on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, appointing trustees for the Tinui Public Cemetery, as described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

TINUI PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, situated in Block XII, Mangapakeha Survey District, and being part of Section 508 of the Whareama Block. Bounded towards the north-east, north-west, and south-west by other parts of Section 508, for distances of 238·5 links, 476·4 links, and 385·8 links respectively; and towards the south-east by the Tinui-Castlepoint Road, 456·5 links and 10·9 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan numbered 71/3, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of September, 1926.

Altering the Boundaries of Military Commands and Regimental Districts.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, relative to the boundaries of military commands and regimental districts; and do hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from the second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

SCHEDULE.

  1. THE paragraph relating to the Northern Command is hereby revoked, and the following substituted:—

    “The Northern Command, comprising all that portion of the North Island of New Zealand lying north of a line drawn from the sea-coast at its junction with the western boundary of the County of Matakaoa, thence along the western boundary of that county and the north-western boundaries of the counties of Waiapu, Waikohu, and Wairoa to the 39° parallel of south latitude; thence westward along that parallel to a point where it meets the boundary of the County of Ohura; thence along the southern and western boundaries of that county and the northern boundary of the County of Clifton to the sea at the mouth of the Mokau River.”

  2. The paragraph relating to No. 2 Regimental District is hereby amended by deleting the word “Matakaoa.”

  3. The paragraph relating to No. 7 Regimental District is hereby amended by inserting the word “Matakaoa” immediately before “Waikohu.”

Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces amended.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five; and I do hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

SCHEDULE.

FINANCIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES.

PARAGRAPH 47 is hereby amended by adding the following note after Note (4):—

“(5.) Privates of the General Duty Section who are employed as firemen or deck-hands on Defence vessels will receive 6d. per diem additional to the above rates.”

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 35 of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, the under-mentioned person has been appointed a Ranger under and for the purposes of that Act for the Otago Acclimatization District:—
