Appointment of Members of the Arawa District Trust Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1926.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance of the provisions of subsection four (a) of section twenty-seven of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1922, and the regulations made thereunder, and any other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the persons set out in the Schedule hereto to be members of the Arawa District Trust Board as and from the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the Borough of Napier of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1926.

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Napier Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, it being difficult and inexpedient to lay off such street of a width of sixty-six feet.
SCHEDULE.
THAT unnamed street in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Borough of Napier, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 29.524 perches, more or less, through Suburban Section 2, Borough of Napier. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66574, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

Amending Regulations under the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, prescribing Fees for the Grading of Dairy-produce.-Notice No. Ag. 2594.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of August, 1926.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto the regulations under the said Act made by Order in Council dated the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, at page 2043 (hereinafter referred to as "the said regulations"), and doth declare that this Order in Council shall take effect from the date of its publication in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.

  1. CLAUSE 1 of the said regulations is amended by substituting "1.24d." for "1.05d."
  2. Clause 2 of the said regulations is amended by substituting "1.65d." for "1.40d."
  3. The said regulations are further amended by adding thereto the following additional clause:
    "5. Where it is found that the total amount paid or payable as aforesaid is less than the cost determined as aforesaid of the dairy-grading service, the Minister may, in computing the amount to be credited to payers of fees in the next succeeding year, take into account the amount of such deficiency, and may accordingly reduce the amount to be credited as provided in clause 4."

    Consenting to Bodies Corporate borrowing Money, and authorizing Payment to Committees of Management.

    ORDER IN COUNCIL.
    At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1926.
    Present:
    His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
    WHEREAS by section three hundred and thirty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that, with the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, a body corporate constituted under Part XVII of the said Act may, on the security of a mortgage or charge of the land vested in it, borrow money for any of the purposes therein mentioned:
    And whereas the bodies corporate constituted as aforesaid described in the Schedule hereto have applied for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council accordingly, and also that consent be given to any money so borrowed being paid to the committees of management of such bodies corporate:
    And whereas the Tairawhiti District Native Land Court has recommended that such consent be granted, and it seems expedient so to do:
    Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby, pursuant to section three hundred and thirty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, and all other powers him enabling, grant precedent consent to the said bodies corporate, on the security of a mortgage or charge of the lands vested in them, borrowing from a State Loan Department or from any person or body corporate, whether by cash credit in current account with a bank or otherwise, for the purpose of enabling the said bodies corporate to liquidate existing liabilities in respect of, and to further improve and more efficiently farm, the lands of the said bodies corporate, the sums set out hereunder opposite the name of each such body corporate; and doth authorize the payment of any money so borrowed to the respective committees of management of the said bodies corporate, and doth consent to any instrument of alienation by way of mortgage of the lands of the said bodies corporate, given in pursuance of this Order in Council, being confirmed by the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board.
