Waitakaruru-Maukoro Canal Road Loan of £1,000.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised for improving and metalling that portion of the Waitakaruru-Maukoro Canal Road situate in the special-rating area hereunder described, the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Waitakaruru-Maukoro Canal Road Loan Special-rating Area, comprising all that area of land in the County of Hauraki Plains bounded as follows — Commencing at the south-western corner of Section 30, Block IV, Piako Survey District, thence proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the western boundaries of Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14; and thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of the said Section 14; thence along the western boundary of Section 13 of the said block to the Waitakaruru-Pipiroa Road; thence in an easterly direction along the said road to the centre of the Waitakaruru-Maukoro Canal; thence in a southerly direction along the centre of the said canal to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 30 aforesaid; thence in a south-westerly direction by a right line to and across the Waitakaruru-Maukoro Canal Road and along the southern boundary of the said Section 30 to the point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of the month of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off, to Ernest Walton, County Treasurer, at the County Office, Ngatea.

NGAROTO DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Ngaroto Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Ngaroto Drainage Board Loan of £2,000, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Ngaroto Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the construction of drainage-works for the drainage of the Ngaroto Drainage District, the said Board hereby makes and levies the special differential rates on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Ngaroto Drainage District as follows:—
On lands classified “A” a special rate of nine-sixteenths (9/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling:
On lands classified “B” a special rate of three-eighths (3/8ths) of a penny in the pound sterling:
On lands classified “C” a special rate of one-eighth (1/8th) of a penny in the pound sterling:
and that such special differential rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That the resolution passed by the Egmont County Council on the 8th day of April, 1924, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 8th day of May, 1924, at page 1120, striking a special rate of nine thirty-ninths (9/39ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Egmont as security for a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000), being portion of a loan of sixty-five thousand pounds (£65,000), authorized to be raised by the said Council for the purpose of improving by reconstructing, widening, and bitumen-sealing or otherwise the following roads within the county—namely, the Main South Road from the northern boundary to the southern boundary of the county, excluding the portion of the said road lying within the Opunake Town District, and the Eltham Road from the Main South Road to the eastern boundary of the county, and to acquire or provide such plant, machinery, materials, and things as may be necessary in connection with such work being defective be hereby rescinded.

That the resolution passed by the said Council on the 31st day of August, 1925, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 10th day of September, 1925, at page 2567, striking a special rate of four-ninths (4/9ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property in the Egmont County as security for a loan of forty-five thousand pounds (£45,000), being the balance of a loan of sixty-five thousand pounds (£65,000) authorized to be raised by the Egmont County Council for the purpose of reconstructing, widening, and bitumen-sealing the Main South and Eltham roads within the county, being defective, be hereby rescinded.

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR A SPECIAL LOAN OF £5,000 OVER THE REDCLIFFS SEWAGE SPECIAL-RATING AREA.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Sumner Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, in pursuance of the powers vested in it by section 176 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1924, for the purpose of connecting lands, buildings, and premises within the Redcliffs Sewerage Special-rating Area in the Borough of Sumner with the public sewer in such area, and assisting the owners of any land, buildings, or premises in the said special-rating area to connect such premises with such sewer, and requiring water-closets, urinals, or such other sanitary conveniences for use in connection with such lands, buildings, or premises as the Sumner Borough Council may consider necessary or expedient, the said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and thirty-eight hundredths of a penny (1·38d.) in the pound on the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Redcliffs Sewage Special-rating Area in the Borough of Sumner, more particularly described as follows:—
All that parcel of land situated in the Borough of Sumner, being the whole of the land contained in Rural Sections 261, 309, and 410, together with parts of Rural Sections 158, 262, 418, 10323, 18430, and 24077 more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point on the boundary of the Estuary of the Rivers Heathcote and Avon, such point being the junction of the Causeway
