for the purpose of—(a) Metalling the Tauranga-Matamata Highway from the junction of Pyes Pa Road to the Ruahihi Bridge, £2,580 ; (b) first year’s interest and sinking fund and cost of raising loan, £220 — the Tauranga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three and seven-eighths pence (3⅞d.) in the pound sterling on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Tauriko Special-rating Area of the County of Tauranga—bounded on the south by Sections 74 and 83, Parish of Te Papa, and a continuation of such boundary-line to the Kopurererua Stream ; on the west by such stream to the northern boundary of Section 203, Parish of Te Papa ; on the north by the northern boundary of Sections 203, 190, and part 171 to Section 473, Te Papa ; again on the west by the eastern boundary of the reserve along the Omanawa River to the northern boundary of Section 582, Parish of Te Papa ; again on the north by the northern boundaries of Sections 582, 348, 347, 346, 68, and 345, Parish of Te Papa ; thence on the east by the Mangapapa River to commencing-point—comprising the whole of such special-rating area ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

Loan of £20,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing and metalling roads in the Birkenhead Riding of the County of Waitemata, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-fourth of one penny in the pound upon all the rateable value upon all rateable property in the Birkenhead Riding of the County of Waitemata ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each and every year or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £31,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £31,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for road-construction, waterworks, bridge and culvert building, and constructing and metalling roads in the Waikumete Riding of the County of Waitemata, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and three-fourths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Waikumete Riding of the County of Waitemata ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each and every year, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £1,500.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of plant, land, and building for use in the Kumeu Riding of the County of Waitemata, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Kumeu Riding of the County of Waitemata ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring one, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and December in each and every year, or until the loan is fully paid off.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), authorized to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the completion of erection of municipal buildings, the provision of drainage for the foundations thereof, and furnishings, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Levin ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Netherton Roads Loan (1925) of £29,500.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-nine thousand five hundred pounds (£29,000), authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes, namely :—

such work being situate in the special rating-area hereunder described, the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4½d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Netherton Roads Loan (1925) Special-rating Area, comprising all that area of land in the County of Hauraki Plains bounded as follows — Commencing at a point where the northern and eastern boundaries of the Netherton Riding intersect, thence in a westerly and southerly direction by the boundaries of the northern and western boundaries of the said riding to the north-western corner of Lot 1 of Te Awaiiti 1J 2B 3 Block ; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundaries of Te Awaiiti 1J 2B 3, 1J 2A 1, and 1A Blocks ; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of Te Awaiiti 1A Block to the eastern boundary of the said last-mentioned block ; thence by a right line to the Waihou River ; thence in a northerly direction by the eastern boundary of the Netherton Riding to the point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of the month of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off, to Ernest Walton, County Treasurer, at the County Office, Ngatea.

Hauraki Plains West Water-supply District Loan of £50,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose, namely : For the purpose of constructing, providing, and establishing a complete waterworks for the impounding, transmission, and supply of water for farming, domestic, and general purposes for the benefit of the Hauraki Plains West Water-supply District, and including in such purpose the acquiring of land, rights-of-way, and easements for and in connection with such purpose, and also including in such purpose the cost of engineering and preliminary expenses of the foregoing works—£50,000—the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Hauraki Plains West Water-supply District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recur
