THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of
a provisional certificate of title, Vol. 24, folio 159, for
Sections 1 of 36 and 2 of 36, Block VII, on the public maps
of the District of Dunedin and East Taieri, whereof MARY
TANSEY, formerly of Dunedin but now of Christchurch,
Widow, is the registered proprietor, and evidence having been
furnished of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby
give notice that it is my intention to issue such provisional
certificate of title at the expiration .of fourteen days from the
date of the Gazette containing this notice.
Dated at the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin this 2nd
day of January, 1926.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of
£20,000 (twenty thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by
the Matamata Town Board under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of carrying out a comprehensive roads-im-
provment scheme in accordance with a complete report
(adopted by resolution of the Board dated 14/11/1923) and
providing for formation and metalling, concrete flagging, and
concrete kerbing and channelling of streets and footpaths in
the Matamata Town District, as set out in the schedule of
the said report, the Matamata Town Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of thirteen-sixteenths (13/16ths) of a
penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the
basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole
of the Matamata Town District; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

A PPLICATION having been made to the Westland Land
Board for the issue of Crown Lease No. 742 of Sec-
tion 2861, Block II, Turiwhate Survey District, Register-
book, Volume 19, folio 11, of which ELIZA TREACY is the
registered licensee, and evidence of loss of original license
having been lodged, I hereby give notice that I will issue a
new license unless objection is lodged forbidding same within
fourteen days after publication of this notice.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
of all |other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Mata-
mata Town Board hereby resolves as follows :-

MATAMATA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Matamata Town
Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of
twenty thousand pounds (£20,000), authorized to be raised
by the Matamata Town Board under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of the carrying-out of a comprehensive
roads-improvement scheme in accordance with a complete
report (adopted by resolution of the Board dated 14/11/1923),
and providing for formation and metalling, concrete flagging.
and concrete kerbing and channelling of streets and footpaths
in the Matamata Town District, as set out in the said report,
the said Board pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to fifteen-sixteenths
(15/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterllng the special rate
of thirteen-sixteenths (13/16ths) of a penny in the pound
sterling made and levied by resolution passed on the 11th
day of January, 1926, by the said Board on the rateable value
(on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in
the whole of the Matamata Town District, such rate of
thirteen-sixteenths (13/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling
being insufficient to provide for payment of interest and sink-
ing fund and other charges on such loan ; and that such
special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of April in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
(36t) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follow :-
Katikati Riding Loan, £3,500.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £3,500 (three thousand five hundred
pounds), authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
regrading, culverting, and metalling portion of Katikati-
Waihi Road from Tuapiro to county boundary and for pur-
chasing machinery, tractor, and crusher, the said Tauranga
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
three-fourths of a penny (4.d.) in the pound sterling upon the
rateable value (unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Katikati Riding, comprising the whole of the Kati-
kati Riding of the said county ; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable yearly on the 18th day of February
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of 364 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Tauriko Special-rating Area Loan, £2,800.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,800, authorized to be raised by the
Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act,

A GENERAL meeting of the shareholders of the TAUHEI
LAND COMPANY (LIMITED), in liquidation, will be held
on Monday, the 8th day of February, 1926, at 10 a.m., at
the office of the undersigned, 16 Fort Street, Auckland.
Business : To lay before the shareholders the liquidation
accounts, in accordance with the Companies Act, 1908.
