Notifying Land in Nelson Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 16, Block VIII, Maruia Survey District : Area, 3 acres 2 roods 15 perches; upset price, £5 5s.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Westland District for other Land.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 805, Block XIV, Wataroa Survey District. As the same is delineated on plan marked 2506, deposited in the District Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Hokitika, and thereon edged red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 3 roods, more or less, being part of Section 95, Block XIV, Wataroa Survey District; as the same is delineated on plan marked 2506, deposited in the District Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Hokitika, and thereon edged green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 27th day of January, 1926.

Opening Settlement Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at the rentals mentioned in
the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Eketahuna County.—Puketoi Survey District.—Tiraumea Settlement.—Second-class Land.
SECTIONS 16s, 20s, and part 13s: Area, 1,329 acres 2 roods 35 perches. Capital value, £4,865; £350.* Half-yearly rent, £121 12s. 6d.; £13 13s.†
- Buildings.
† Half-yearly instalment of principal and interest on buildings, consisting of a four-roomed cottage and two whares valued at £350, repayable in cash or in twenty-one years by forty-two half-yearly instalments of £13 13s.
Total half-yearly payments on lease, £135 5s. 6d.
Fencing to the value of £840 is included in the capital value.
Sections 17s, 18s, and part 13s: Area, 1,494 acres 1 rood 35 perches. Capital value, £5,925 ; £1,000.* Half-yearly rent, £148 2s. 6d.; £39.†
- Buildings.
† Half-yearly instalment of principal and interest on buildings, consisting of a wool-shed, two dwellings, cow-shed, and other outbuildings, valued at £1,000, repayable in cash or in twenty-one years by forty-two half-yearly instalments of £39.
Total half-yearly payments on lease, £187 2s. 6d.
Fencing to the value of £685 is included in the capital value.
NOTE.—The buildings on part Section 13s do not go with the property, and the right to remove them is reserved to the Crown. The area of Part Section 13s, shown as 247 acres is subject to slight alteration on survey of the north-western boundary.
Tiraumea Settlement is situated in the Eketahuna County, about twenty-eight miles from the Town of Eketahuna by the main Eketahuna-Alfredton-Pongoroa Road. The Tiraumea school is within five miles of the sections now offered.
The sections generally consist of undulating to easy hilly land, suitable for sheep and cattle grazing. Well watered by streams.
Some of the sections are badly infested with gorse and scrub. and are capable of considerable improvement by clearing, grubbing, &c.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Parr's Park Scenic Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land rese ved under the said Act), for the period of three years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned, persons, namely:—
The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the North Auckland Land District, ex officio,
John Bertram Guy,
Rowland Wood,
Harry Arnold Robertson, and
George Taylor,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Parr's Park Scenic Board (herein referred to as “the Board”), in trust, for the preservation of scenery, and with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Monday, the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at two o'clock p.m., in the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland; and thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the third Monday in each quarter at the time and place aforesaid, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands shall be the Chairman of the Board. He may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote.
