BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Marlborough Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Koromiko Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SECTION 2 of 32, Block XV, Linkwater Survey District (Waitohi Valley). Area, 8 acres 1 rood 30 perches.

The South-western Side of Portion of Tukuka Street, the South-eastern Side of Portion of Tipahi Street, and the North-western Side of Portion of Kawai Street, in the City of Nelson, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Nelson City Council on the sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, viz. :—
“ That the Nelson City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Nelson known as Tukuka Street, Tipahi Street, and Kawai Street respectively, hereby resolves that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the south-west side of Tukuka Street from Kawai Street to Tipahi Street, to that portion of the south-east side of Tipahi Street fronting Sections 959, 961, 963, and Section 965, and to that portion of the north-west side of Kawai Street fronting Sections 959, 961, 963, and 965 ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-western side of the portion of Tukuka Street, nor on the south-eastern side of the portion of Tipahi Street, nor on the north-western side of the portion of Kawai Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portions of streets, such condition being of the same effect as By-law No. 229 of the City of Nelson By-law No. 1 (1916) Part VII, relating to building-line.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-western side of all that portion of street situated in the Nelson Land District, City of Nelson, known as Tukuka Street, extending between Tipahi Street and Kawai Street.
Also the south-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the said land district and city, known as Tipahi Street, fronting Sections 959, 961, 963, and 965, City of Nelson.
Also the north-western side of all that portion of street situated in the said land district and city, known as Kawai Street, fronting Sections 959, 961, 963, and 965, City of Nelson.
As the said portions of streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 64936, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured purple.

Prescribing the Rate of Interest that may be paid by the Ekatahuna County Council in respect of a Loan of £800 authorized to be raised for the Purpose of Building Three Bridges.

WHEREAS by section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, and its amendments, it is provided that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council :
And whereas the Ekatahuna County Council has been authorized to borrow the sum of eight hundred pounds for the purpose of building three bridges :
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section eleven, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding six per centum per annum :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the Ekatahuna County Council in respect of the said loan of eight hundred pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, and the said Ekatahuna County Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of eight hundred pounds accordingly.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, viz. :—
“ The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the south-eastern side of that portion of Hawkestone Crescent beginning at the north-eastern boundary of Lot 12, D.P. 364, and extending for a distance of 30·86 links, being the part of Hawkestone Crescent fronting Lots 1 and 3, D.P. 3284, parts of Town Sections 551 and 553, City of Wellington ” ;
such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
