IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Surveyors’ Institute and Board of Examiners Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby appoint, as from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the undermentioned persons to be members of the Surveyors’ Board constituted by the said Act, namely,–
George Henry Bullard,
Thomas Brook,
Samuel Thomas Seddon, M.C., and
Archibald Hugh Bogle,
the two first-named persons having been nominated by the Minister of Lands, and the two last-named persons having been nominated by the Council of the Institute of Surveyors, as required by the said Act.

Boundaries of Borough of Mataura and County of Southland altered.

WHEREAS, in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the Borough of Mataura and included in the County of Southland :
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries, and recommended certain alterations of the said area :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration of the boundaries of the said borough and of the said county recommended by the said Commission, and to declare in what riding of the said county such area shall be included :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Mataura and included in the County of Southland; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby further declare that as and from the aforesaid date the area included as aforesaid in the County of Southland shall be added to and form part of the Mataura Riding of that county.
SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF MATAURA.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-west corner of Section 19, Block XVII, Mataura Bridge; thence generally easterly along the southern side of Crawford’s Road, crossing Dickie’s Road, to the north-east corner of Section 3, Block XVII, aforesaid; thence southerly along the western side of Bound-
ary Road to the south-eastern corner of Section 77 (cemetery reserve); thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 77, 13, 12, across Dickie’s Road, and along the said southern boundary of Section 14 to the south-western corner of the said Section 14; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, and 19 of Block XVII aforesaid to the north-western corner of the said Section 19, the place of commencement.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Paeroa, Auckland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1926.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was reserved for a site for a public library, being a purpose within Class I of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 :
And whereas it is expedient that such land should be appropriated for a site for municipal buildings, being a purpose within the said Class I :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the said land shall, from and after the date hereof, be appropriated for a site for municipal buildings under Class I of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 18 perches, more or less, being Lot 27 of Block I, Town of Paeroa. Bounded towards the north-east by Normanby Road, 75 links; towards the south-east by Lot 26, Block I, Town of Paeroa, 150 links; towards the south-west by Lot 18 of Block I aforesaid, 75 links; and towards the north-west by Lot 28 of Block I aforesaid, 150 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5453/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

WHEREAS by subsection eight of section seven of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1922, it is enacted that in all cases where an order is dated more than five years previously to the receipt of the application, the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court shall first obtain the consent of the Governor-General in Council before making any order thereunder :
And whereas application has been made under the said section to amend an order of the Native Land Court dated the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, granting succession in respect of the interest of Kerenapu Kahu (deceased) in Tokomaru G 3 Block.
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Chief Judge exercising with regard to the said recited order of the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, all and every the jurisdiction granted to him by the said section seven and to the making of any such order thereunder as may seem necessary or expedient.
