Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section one hundred
and thirty-four of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enume-
rated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions
of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act,
1924; and I do further fix four years from the date men-
tioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said
land shall be exempt from payment of rent.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 25, Block III, Kongahu Survey District: 1st July,
1926.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of
January, 1926.

set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and two of the
Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may, by Proclamation approved in Executive Council,
declare that any national-endowment land disposed of under
the Land Act, 1924, or the Land Act, 1908, and held under
lease or license by any person who is competent to acquire
land under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915,
shall cease to be national-endowment land:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto, which is so held on renewable
lease under the Land Act, 1924, should cease to be national-
endowment land:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section,
I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and
after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in
the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-
endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred
and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-
endowment land.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 16, Block VII, Tiger Hill Survey District: Area,
74 acres 0 roods 30 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged
Soldiers under Special Tenures, in the Gisborne Land Dis-
trict.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-second day of
December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and
published in the Gazette of the eighth day of January, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty, setting apart Crown land
for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged
Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the
area in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that piece of land situated in the Land District of
Gisborne, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods
39 perches, be the same a little more or less, being Section 9,
Block XXIV, Waiau Survey District, formerly Part of Sec-
tion 3, Block XXIV, Waiau Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of
January, 1926.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Subdivisions of the
Horotiu B Block, Block II, Waoku Survey District, North
Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
was by an order of the Native Land Court made on
the twenty-third day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-five, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance
of sections forty-nine and fifty, of the Native Land Amend-
ment Act, 1913:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in
the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed
as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been
forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one
of the said Act:
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention
to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given
by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district
concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line
should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections
forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act,
1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable,
do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described
in the Schedule hereto.

and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2153, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.
