THE following Notices to Mariners which have been received from the Hydrographic Office, London, and the Department of Defence, Melbourne, are published for general information.

SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN.
Pleasant (Nauru) Island.—Information re Position.
Position.—W/T mast, lat. 0° 32′ 00″ S., long. 166° 55′ 00″ E. (approx.).
Details.—Pleasant Island is situated further southward than charted.
The above position, which is the mean of the observations obtained by H.M.S. “Dart” and S.S. “Nauru Chief,” is to be substituted for that of No. 1 jetty in the title of the plan. The plan is to be re-graduated accordingly.
On chart No. 780 the island is to be moved to the position given above.

Barrow Deep.—Intended Alterations in Light-vessels.
Date of Alterations.—On or about the 24th August 1926; further notice will be given when the alterations have been carried out.
(1.) New Barrow deep light-vessel to be established :—
Position.—In the position of the Barrow deep light-vessel which it will replace. Lat. 51° 42′ N., long 1° 19′ E. (approx.).
