SCHEDULE.
THE north-eastern and north-western side of all that portion of street in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Krull Street, fronting Lots 249, 250, 251, 252, 253, and 301 (D.P. 52), Vogeltown, being part Section 15, Ohio Registration District. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66033, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking the Vesting of Reserve 112, Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of August, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn, in trust, for a gravel-pit by an Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, and published in Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of that month in pursuance of section four of the Public Reserves Act, 1881, but a certificate of title has not issued in respect of the said reserve :
And whereas the Selwyn County was subdivided by the Selwyn County Subdivision Act, 1910, and as a consequence Reserve 112 became vested in the Heathcote County Council :
And whereas it is expedient that the said Order in Council should be revoked in so far as it relates to the said land, and the Heathcote County Council has duly consented to such revocation :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection two of section three of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1914, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council hereinbefore referred to so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, more or less, being Reserve 112, situated in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north-west by the River Road along the south bank of the River Heathcote ; towards the north-east by Rural Section 562, 206 links ; towards the south-east by the Cashmere Road, 489·2, 711·4, and 298·1 links respectively ; and again towards the south-west by Rural Section 549, 87 links : as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/833, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Regulations providing for Safe Navigation through the Northern Wairoa Bridge, Kaipara Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of August, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Harbours Act, 1923 (hereinafter called “ the said Act ”), that a Harbour Board may from time to time, by by-laws made under the said Act, provide, among other things, for the safe navigation of any navigable river within its jurisdiction, and regulate all matters relating to the protection of life and property in or on vessels using any such river :
And whereas it is enacted by section nine of the said Act that in harbours where there is no Harbour Board the Governor-General in Council shall have all the powers, functions, duties, and authorities by the said Act conferred upon Harbour Boards, and may exercise the same in accordance with the said Act, under regulations to be made by Order in Council gazetted :
And whereas it is desirable to make regulations providing for the safe navigation of vessels through the Northern Wairoa Bridge, on the Wairoa River, Kaipara Harbour :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations.
REGULATIONS.
-
No vessel exceeding 250 ft. in length shall pass through the bridge.
-
No vessel exceeding 200 ft. in length shall pass through the bridge without the assistance of a towing-vessel.
-
No vessel exceeding 125 ft. in length shall pass through the bridge, except at high-water slack.
-
All vessels shall reduce speed when nearing the bridge and go slow when passing through.
-
All pontoons or barges carrying cargo which will not float shall be towed through the bridge singly.
-
No vessel shall tow more than two pontoons or barges at one time through the bridge.
-
All towing-vessels shall use a short tow-line when passing through the bridge in order to prevent the towed vessel from sheering.

All yards of vessels shall be braced up sharp, and all derricks, boats, and light-screens must be swung inboard, and any movable projection on a vessel’s side shall be removed.

No vessel of any description, timber, raft of timber, or any article shall be tied up to the bridge structure or to the fender piles.
-
No vessel shall attempt to pass under or through any part of the bridge during a thick fog.
-
No raft of timber passing through the bridge shall exceed 120 ft. in length and 25 ft. in breadth.

Any persons in charge of any vessel, timber, or raft of timber, coming into contact with any part of the bridge or fender piles and losing any cargo or timber which will not float, shall immediately report such occurrence to the Harbourmaster, and shall take adequate measures to search for and remove such material, and shall be liable for any consequent damage to the bridge or fender piles, and for the cost of searching for and removing such material.

The owner, master, or person in charge of any vessel damaging the bridge structure, including the fender piles, or causing the same to be damaged, shall be responsible for the damage done.

All vessels under 40 ft. in length which do not use a derrick and having a mast, the top of which is more than 12 ft. in height above the water-line at light-draft, shall have the mast lowered down when passing through the bridge.

The master of any vessel who requires the bridge-passage to be opened at a given time, to enable his vessel to pass through, shall, at least two hours prior to such time, give notice to that effect to the person in charge of the bridge.

Any person committing a breach of these regulations shall be liable to a fine of £20.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-three of the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulation additional to those in force under the said Act made by Order in Council on the twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred, and published in the Gazette of the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one, at page 66 ; and doth order that such additional regulation shall come into force on the date of the publication hereof in the Gazette.
ADDITIONAL REGULATION.
10A. ALL milking-machines, coolers, or other appliances used in or about a dairy (other than those referred to in clauses 10 and 11) shall be thoroughly cleansed immediately after use.
