Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, City of Wanganui—Petition of J. M. and I. C. Wells.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of August, 1926.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Wanganui City Council shall defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under the said Act by a Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General dated the twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, to inquire and report upon the proposal contained in the petition of J. M. and I. C. Wells to exclude a certain area from the City of Wanganui and to include such area in the County of Wanganui.

M. Wells and others to exclude certain areas from the City of Wanganui and to include such areas in the County of Waitotara.

Amending Orders in Council authorizing the Thames Borough Council to erect Electric Lines in the Borough of Thames.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of every other power enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Orders in Council dated the twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and the fifteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazettes Nos. 9, of the third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and 77, of the eighteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, respectively, authorizing the Thames Borough Council to erect electric lines in the Borough of Thames, by adding to clause twelve of the former Order in Council and clause five of the latter Order in Council the following words, viz.: “and provided also that including meter rent, if any, a minimum charge not exceeding 2s. 6d. per calendar month per paying consumer in the case of supply of electricity for
