A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Leaning Rock Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 5 acres 2 roods 36 perches, being portion of Section 39; coloured red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 5 acres 2 roods 30 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections 39 and 40; coloured green.
All situated in Block VIII, Leaning Rock Survey District (Otago R.D.).
All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65386, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of July, 1926.

[l.s.] A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
HUTT VALLEY SETTLEMENT.
ALL those pieces or parcels of land in the Borough of Lower Hutt, situated in the Wellington Land District, being Sections 1 to 18 and 59 to 70, all inclusive, and Section 123 of Block I; Sections 19 to 58, all inclusive, of Block II; Sections 96 to 122, all inclusive, of Block III; Sections 73 to 87, all inclusive, of Block IV; Sections 124 to 140, all inclusive, of Block V; and Sections 141 to 144, all inclusive, of Block VI, of the Hutt Valley Settlement; and being portion of Section 11, Hutt Registration District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District: as the same are delineated on plan numbered 42/91 deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of August, 1926.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, City of Wanganui—Petition of J. R. Gibson and others.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of August, 1926.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
I N pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Wanganui City Council shall defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under the said Act by a Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General dated the twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, to inquire and report upon the proposal contained in the petition of J. R. Gibson and others to exclude a certain area from the City of Wanganui and to include such area in the County of Waitotara.
