Declaring a Portion of a Main Highway in the No. 6 Highways District, Taumarunui County, to be a Government Road.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of main highway described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting of this Order in Council, become a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
STRATFORD–Taumarunui: All that portion of the main highway known as the Stratford–Taumarunui Main Highway, commencing at the Motutara Stream Bridge, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction, and terminating at the boundary of the Borough of Taumarunui at the Ongarue River Bridge, passing through the County of Taumarunui; being a distance of 7 miles 60 chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 55, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue and marked O–P.

AUCKLAND–Wellington (via Taranaki): All that portion of the main highway known as the Auckland–Wellington (via Taranaki) Main Highway, commencing at the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Wanganui, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction via No. 1 Line, and terminating at the south-eastern boundary of the Wanganui County, passing through the County of Wanganui; being a distance of 9 miles, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 36, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue and marked E–F.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Pongaroa Domain.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Joseph Henry Berry,
William Evan Davies,
Leonard Johnston,
John McIntyre,
Robert William Morris,
Henry Robert Poole, and
Thomas Arthur Yeoman
to be the Pongaroa Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the twentieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at half-past two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domain Buildings, Pongaroa, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SUBURBAN Section 12, Town of Pongaroa: Area, 13 acres 0 roods 12 perches, more or less.

George Arthur Ryde
to be the Oxford Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Coronation Hall, Oxford, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—OXFORD DOMAIN.
RESERVES 4153 and 4156, Block VIII, Oxford Survey District: Area, 9 acres 0 roods 18 perches, more or less.
Also Reserve 1651, Blocks VIII and XII, Oxford Survey District: Area, 216 acres, more or less.
