NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school, the following lands, namely :—
All those pieces of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing together 4 acres 3 roods 11·11 perches, more or less, being Kopaearea Number 15 Block, and parts of Kopaearea Number 4, and Ohineahuru Numbers 5A and 4 Blocks, situate Block 10, Maketu Survey District.
A plan of the said land is deposited at the post-office at Maketu, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between THOMAS EDWARD POLLOCK and WILLIAM MORTIMER, the Younger, carrying on business as Farmers at Waipounamu, under the style or firm of “Pollock and Mortimer,” has been dissolved as from the 1st day of June, 1926.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the CLEANSER MANUFACTURING COMPANY (LIMITED).
A T an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the company held at the registered office, 206 Victoria Arcade, Auckland, on 3rd day of June, 1926, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that THEODORE JAMES SPRY, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and the same is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above company, INTERNATIONAL MERCANTILE (LIMITED), duly convened and held on the 28th May, 1926, notice of the purpose thereof having been duly given, there was passed the following extraordinary resolution :—
“That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same for the benefit of the creditors and shareholders”; and

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A RESERVE FOR WATER-SUPPLY AT MURIWAI.
NOTICE is hereby given that the WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL propose, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a reserve for water-supply at Muriwai; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Waitemata County Council, Princes Street, Auckland, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the land should, if they have any well-founded objection to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk.

SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land containing three roods nineteen and five-tenths perches, more or less, being Lot forty-five on deposited plan Number 9548 (Auckland Registry), being portion of the block of land situate in Block IX of the Kumeu Survey District called Taupaki, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 336, folio 15 (Auckland Registry).

In the matter of the HORSESHOE MINES (LIMITED).
A T an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, 210 Victoria Arcade, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 26th day of May, 1926, the following resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on Friday, the 11th day of June, 1926, the same resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”
And at such last-mentioned meeting ALAN CLELAND WILKIN, of Auckland, Solicitor, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.
