the north-western corner of Section 14 of Block XI afore-
said; thence by the western boundaries of Blocks XI and
XV, Tutamoe Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of
Section 4, Block XIV, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by
the northern boundary of that section to and by Opanake
Block to and by the northern boundary Block XIII, Tutamoe
Survey District, by the northern boundary of Block XIII,
Waipoua Survey District, the eastern boundaries of Blocks
X, VII, III, Waipoua Survey District, the northern boundary
of the last-mentioned block, and by the eastern boundaries
of Blocks XIV, X, Waoku Survey District, to the north-
western corner of Section 1, Block XI aforesaid, the point
of commencement. As the same is more particularly
delineated on plan marked L. and S. 22/3466, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wel-
lington, and thereon bordered red.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I General Sir
Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed
the road in the Benger Survey District described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 6 acres 1 rood.
Adjoining or passing through Crown land, Block III, Benger
Survey District.
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1362, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Welling-
ton, under No. 2173, and thercon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of June,
1926.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by section three of the Deteriorated
Lands Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Ferguson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare the lands described in the Schedule
hereto to be subject to the provisions of the Deteriorated
Lands Act; 1925.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District in Blocks
XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Patetere North Survey District, being
part of Selwyn Settlement. Commencing at the intersection
of a road with the Tapapatanga Railway-station on the
Auckland-Rotorua Railway line; by that railway proceeding
in a south-easterly direction to a timber-yard reserve; by the
western boundary of that reserve to the Ngatira Road; by
that road and the Oraka Stream to the north-western boundary
of Section 106, Block XVI, Patetere North Survey District;
thence south-westerly generally by part Section 106, the
north-western and south-western boundaries of Kokako
Native Reserve to the Ngutuwera Stream; thence in a north-
westerly direction by that stream and fishing reserve to the
Lichfield Road; by that road to the Lichfield Township; by
the eastern boundary of that township to a road forming the
south-eastern boundary of Section 22, Block XI, of the afore-
said survey district; thence in a north-easterly direction by
that road to the Tapapatanga Road; by that road in an
easterly direction to the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of June,

hereto.

Aria Survey District.
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 612, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, under No. 2175, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of June,

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, consti-
tuted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act,
1908 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), has
recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto
should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is
expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said
Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 37 acres 0 roods 10 perches, more or less,
being part of Section 4, Block X, Pirongia Survey District.
Bounded towards the north by Section 4A, Block X of
the said survey district (cemetery reserve), 304·8 links;
towards the east generally by a public road and Section 7 of
the said Block X, 339·9, 259·7, 244·5, 249·1, 226·1, 418·5, 257·6,
284·3, 250·4, 180·6, 489·6, 279, and 748·2 links; towards the
south by Section 16, Block XIV, Pirongia Survey District,
2,650 links; towards the west generally by part of Section 4
and a public road, 280·1, 511·3, 470·5, 544·8, 587·6, 911·2, 69·4,
and 244·6 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/385,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. Auckland plan
No. 23432 (blue).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of June,
1926.
