already incurred in improving and reconstructing
Jones’ Drain.
(c.) The Road Board shall pay annually to the Drainage
Board the sum of two pounds and ten shillings (£2
10s.) towards the future cost of maintaining Jones’
Drain.
(d.) The Road Board shall pay annually to the Drainage
Board the sum of two pounds (£2) towards the future
. cost of maintaining the Hamilton–Eureka Drain.
(e.) All other costs of maintaining, repairing, improving, or
reconstructing the said drains shall be provided and
paid by the Drainage Board.
3. I direct that any payment hereby required to be made
as aforesaid by the Road Board shall be paid from time to
time, in the proportions and amounts hereinbefore fixed and
determined, out of the funds under the control of the Road
Board, within a period of thirty days after demand in writing
made by or on behalf of the Drainage Board ; and all such
payments shall be made from time to time to the Clerk of the
Drainage Board, for and on account of such Drainage Board.
4. And I further direct that the costs, charges, and expenses
of and incidental to the inquiry by the Commission aforesaid
touching and concerning the premises shall be paid and borne
by the Road Board.

A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on me by section two hundred and seven of
the Counties Act, 1920, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the whole of the said
Counties Act, 1920, shall come into force within the County
of Peninsula, and shall hereafter continue to be in force within
the said county.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of May,

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in
Tutamoe Survey District described in the First Schedule
hereto ; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road
described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of land proclaimed as a
road : 6 acres 2 roods 32 perches.
Being portion of Section 1 ; coloured pink
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of road closed : 11 acres
0 roods 39 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Section 1 ; coloured green.
All situated in Block IX, Tutamoe Survey District (Gisborne
R.D.). (S.O. 1259, brown.)
All in the Gisborne Land District ; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65968,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of

vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the additional land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the Wairoa to Wai-
kokopu Branch of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 3 roods
17·5 perches, being portion of Hereheretau C.
Situated in Block VIII, Clyde Survey District (Hawke’s
Bay R.D.). (S.O. 852, green.)
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District ; as the same is more

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.
