Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the City of Wanganui and included in the County of Wanganui, and with the like advice and consent, doth further declare that as on and from the aforesaid date the area included as aforesaid in the County of Wanganui shall be added to and form part of the Mangawhero Riding of that county.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM CITY OF WANGANUI.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Wanganui River in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of the land shown on plan 250/31, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction along the said river-bank to a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section 93, Block I, Ikitara Survey District; then in a south-easterly direction by a right line to and by that boundary to Section 79, Block I aforesaid; then south-easterly by the north-western boundaries of the said Section 79 and Section 78, Block I aforesaid, to a point on the last-mentioned boundary-line, 8 chains distant from the north-eastern side of Eastown Road; then north-westerly by a right line to a point on the south-eastern boundary of the land shown on plan 5408, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, 11½ chains distant from the aforesaid side of the Eastown Road; then north-easterly, north-westerly, and south-westerly along the south-eastern, eastern, and north-western boundaries of the aforesaid plan 5408 to the north-eastern boundary of the land shown on plan 250/31 aforesaid; then in a north-westerly direction along the said north-eastern boundary and the production thereof to the left bank of the Wanganui River, the place of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area should be excluded from the City of Wanganui and included in the County of Wanganui:

And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended certain alterations of the said area:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration of boundaries of the said city recommended by the said Commission and to declare to what riding of the said county such area shall be added:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the City of Wanganui and included in the County of Wanganui; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby further declare that as on and from the aforesaid date the area included as aforesaid in the County of Wanganui shall be added to and form part of the Kaukatea Riding of that county.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM CITY OF WANGANUI.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 9 on plan No. 902, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, and proceeding in a westerly direction along the southern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on plan A/2621, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, to the south-western corner of the said Lot 2; then again towards the west, and then towards the south by the southern and eastern boundary-lines of Lot 1 on plan No. 853, deposited as aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned line to the southern side of No. 3 Line of Road; then towards the west and south-west by the said No. 3 Line of Road to its intersection with the south-western side of the Wellington-New Plymouth Railway line; then towards the south-east by the said railway-line to the easternmost corner of Lot 34 on plan No. 734, deposited as aforesaid; then towards the south-west by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Lot 1 on plan No. 1320, deposited as aforesaid; then towards the north-west generally by the south-western boundary-lines of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on the said plan 1320 to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; then towards the south-west and south-east by right lines parallel to and 250 links distant from the south-eastern side of No. 3 Line of Road and the north-eastern side of Turoa Road to a point on the northern boundary of Lot 1 on plan 5177, deposited as aforesaid; then towards the west by the said boundary of Lot 1 to the Turoa Road; then towards the south-east by the said road to the northern boundary of Lot 12A on plan No. 1872, deposited as aforesaid; then towards the west, south-west, and south-east generally by the northern, western, and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 12A to the western boundary-line of Lot 1 on plan 1954, deposited as aforesaid; then towards the south generally by the western boundary of the said Lot 1 to its intersection with a line parallel to No. 2 Line of Road and 749·2 links distant therefrom; then towards the south-east by the last-mentioned line to the north-western boundary-line of Section 45, left bank, Wanganui River; then towards the north-east by the said boundary of Section 45 to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section 65, left bank, Wanganui River; then towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary-lines of the said Section 65 and Section 66, left bank, Wanganui River, to the south-eastern corner of last-mentioned section; then towards the north by the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the southern side of No. 3 Line of Road; then towards the east by the said road to a point opposite the eastern boundary of Lot 9 on plan No. 902 aforesaid; then by a right line to and by the eastern boundary of the said Lot 9 to the north-eastern corner thereof, the place of commencement.
