Vesting a Landing-place Reserve in the Opotiki County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of May, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-six of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as the “said section”), it is enacted that on the issue of an Order in Council conferring on the Opotiki County Council the powers of a Harbour Board with respect to the Ohiwa Harbour the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, vest the land described in the Schedule hereto in the Corporation of the County of Opotiki, in trust, without power of sale, for the purpose of a landing-place:

And whereas an Order in Council was issued on the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in Gazette No. 71, of the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, declaring that the Opotiki County Council should from and after the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, exercise the powers of a Harbour Board with respect to the Port or Harbour of Ohiwa:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said section, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Corporation of the County of Opotiki, in trust, without power of sale, for the purpose of a landing-place; subject, nevertheless, to the condition contained in subsection two of the said section that if at any time a Harbour Board is constituted to control the Ohiwa Harbour the vesting effected hereunder may be cancelled and the land vested in trust for the purpose of a landing-place in such Harbour Board.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, containing by admeasurement 19 acres 1 rood, more or less, and being Allotment 191B, Parish of Waiotahi, Block XI, Whakatane Survey District.

Extending Time for holding Annual Meeting of Councillors in Ashley County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of May, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section seventy-seven of the Counties Act, 1920 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the annual meeting of the various County Councils throughout the Dominion shall be held at noon on the fourth Wednesday in May:

And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding such meeting in the Ashley County:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section two hundred and sixteen of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the annual meeting of the Ashley County Council, and doth hereby order and declare that in the aforesaid county the said annual meeting shall be held and take place at ten o’clock in the forenoon on Friday, the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of May, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.
