Revoking the Naturalization of August Hans.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of May, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS letters of naturalization were issued to August Hans on the eighteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and such letters of naturalization endure for the purposes of the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Act, 1923, as a certificate of naturalization under that Act:
And whereas the Governor-General in Council is satisfied that it is advisable, for special reasons affecting the said August Hans, the naturalization of the said August Hans should be revoked:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said letters of naturalization, and hereby declare that the naturalization of the said August Hans shall be revoked, and that the said August Hans shall cease to be a British subject naturalized in New Zealand as on and from the nineteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Colyton Public Hall Board.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of May, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was by subsection one of section thirty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1925, permanently reserved as a site for a public hall: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section two of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1914, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely:—
Bruce McLeod,
Harold William Shepherd,
Walter William Bussell,
Newall Walter Pearce, and
John William Thurston,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Colyton Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the last Wednesday in each month at 8 o’clock p.m., at the Colyton Public Hall, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the 26th day of May, 1926.

The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days’ notice of any such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself without reasonable cause from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Colyton and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being part Subdivision H, Manchester Block, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 56, folio 129, Wellington Registry.

Vesting a Cemetery Reserve in the Kowai County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of May, 1926.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a site for a public cemetery: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Kowai.
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Kowai, in trust, as a site for a public cemetery.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 163, situated in Block IV, Rangiora Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the west and partly towards the north by Rural Section 11037, 1000 links and 503 links respectively; again towards the north and towards the east by Rural Section 2305, 497 links and 1000 links respectively; and again towards the south by a public road, 1000 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/181, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
