  1. No person shall kill or destroy any such imported game
    or native game, or shoot at or attempt to shoot at any
    such imported game or native game, with any automatic or
    auto-loading gun, unless it is converted into a gun capable of
    carrying two cartridges only, or with any rifle or pea-rifle,
    swivel-gun, punt-gun, or pump-gun, or shall use any gun
    other than a shoulder-gun; and no gun shall be used for
    the purpose aforesaid the bore of which is larger than the
    size known as No. 12 at the muzzle, nor shall any gun be
    used which exceeds 10 lb. in weight.

  2. Shooting may begin not earlier than half an hour before
    sunrise and must cease not later than half an hour after
    sunset.

  3. Any person committing a breach of any of these con-
    ditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland and Gisborne Land Districts
bounded by a line commencing at the point where the Marae-
totara Road touches the sea-coast in Block III, Whakatane
Survey District, and proceeding thence along the sea-coast
to the south-western corner of Whangaparaoa No. 1 Block;
then ce along the southern boundary of said No. 1 Block,
the western boundary of Whangaparaoa No. 3A Block, and
Waikura No. 2 Block, to Pakira Trig. Station; along a right
line to Whanakaoa Trig. Station; along a right line to Kapua
Trig. Station; along a right line to Arowhana Trig. Station;
along a right line to Trig. Station 139A (Tuanui o te Kahakaha);
along a right line passing through Trig. Station 140 (Pungarehu)
to the Motu River, and up the Whakapaupakihi Stream to
its source at Trig. Station 149A; along a right line to Trig.
Station Pokaikiri; along the north-western boundaries of
Section 2, Block V, Motu Survey District, Sections 2, 1, and
4, Block IX, Motu Survey District, Sections 3 and 2, Block XII,
Moanui Survey District, Small Grazing-runs 90 and 89, to a
point in line with the western boundary of Tahora 2c 3
Section 2; thence to and along that boundary to a point
lying in the right line between Maungatapere and Maungapo-
hatu Trig. Stations; thence along that right line to Maunga-
pohatu Trig. Station; along the summit of the range to the
source of the Waimana (or Tauranga) River; down that
river to and along the south-western boundary of Waimana
1D Block; along the south-eastern boundaries of Waimana
Nos. 1D and 1C Blocks, Section 21, Block IV, Waimana
Survey District, along the north-eastern boundary of said
Section 21; along the north-eastern boundary of Waimana
No. 1E Block; along the western side of the Nukuhou
(Waimana-Ohiva) Road, the western side of the Nukuhou-
Maraetotara Road (Whakatane-Opotiki Main Road), and the
western side of the Maraetotara Road to the sea-coast at the
point of commencement.

Alterations to Scale of Charges in force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.

IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government
Railways Act, 1908, and its amendments, and of all other powers enabling
me in this behalf, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Railways, do hereby make
the following alterations in the scale of charges in force on the New Zealand
Government Railways open for traffic made on the 10th day of August, 1925,
and published in the Gazette of 11th August, 1925:—

PART II.—LUGGAGE, PARCELS, HORSES, ETC.

By adding to Regulation 13 the following:—

1A. The provisions of paragraph 1 of this regulation will also be applic-
able to such other cases as may be authorized by the Board of Management,
New Zealand Government Railways, Wellington. In such cases where the
literature is not for exchange the provisions of subparagraph (c) of para-
graph 1 of this regulation will not be effective, but in every case the con-
signor should endorse on the consignment note that the parcel contains
books, magazines, or papers only.

PART IV.—GOODS: LOCAL RATES.

By omitting the following:—

NORTH ISLAND MAIN LINE AND BRANCHES.

Except otherwise specified, goods of Classes A, B, C, D, and H to or
from ships at Onerahi or Opua will be charged as Class A, at weight or
measurement, as the Department may direct.

Coal consigned from North New Zealand Coal and Cement Company’s
Siding to Onerahi for shipment to ports other than Auckland will be charged
3s. per ton, including weighing and delivery to ship by skip.

Coal from North New Zealand Coal Company’s siding to Onerahi for
shipment to Auckland will be charged 3s. 11d. per ton, including delivery to
ship by skip.

SOUTH ISLAND MAIN LINE AND BRANCHES.

Class H: Wool, &c.

To Timaru: From stations on the main line within twenty-five miles
distance, 1s. 3d. per bale for distance up to and including fourteen miles,
and 1½d. per bale for each additional mile.

And substituting the following:—

NORTH ISLAND MAIN LINE AND BRANCHES.

Except otherwise specified, goods of Classes A, B, C, D, and H consigned
to or from stations Paparoa to Te Akeake inclusive (including stations on
the Kaikohe and Onerahi branch lines) to or from ships at Onerahi or Opua
will be charged Class A at weight or measurement, as the Department may
direct.

Butter and Cheese: Special Rates.

Butter and cheese to Auckland or Southdown from the undermentioned
stations will be charged as follows (minimum load, 5 tons per four-wheeled
truck, owners to load and unload):—
